Orlando

The Magic are coming off a loss on Sunday to Indiana which saw them surrender a nine-point lead in the fourth quarter. Center, Nikola Vucevic has blossomed into one of the top big men in the league this year.

Vucevic dropped 26 in the meeting against Memphis earlier this month and is averaging 26.6 points per game over the last eight.

Orlando has struggled to put up points this year, only averaging 95.8 points per game and giving up 101.7. Vucevic put together another solid game on Sunday dropping 27 points, but the Magic ended up allowing Indiana to score 106 points. During the five-game losing streak the Magic are allowing a ridiculous 116.0 points per game.

Rookie forward Aaron Gordon got the start on Sunday and showed the Magic what he can bring to the team with some solid defense. Coach Vaughn has been changing the starting line-up to try and add a spark to his team.

In order for the Magic to win tonight’s game Nikola Vucevic must control the paint and limit the touches for Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph.

Memphis

Once again the Grizzlies are one of the top teams in the West because of solid team defense and dominant inside scoring. The combination of power forward Zach Randolph and center Marc Gasol have been dominant. Both bigs rank near the top of the league in double doubles and have been troublesome for opposing defenses.

Point guard Mike Conley has been impressive too. He is averaging 17.7 points per game to go along with a team leading 5.8 assists. The acquisition of forward Jeff Green from the Boston Celtics adds another dynamic to the already versatile line-up of the Grizzlies.

Green led Memphis in scoring in the last victory over the Magic with 21 points. The veteran forward is averaging 13.8 points per game since joining the Grizzlies. Memphis has beaten the Magic in the last seven match-ups.

Randolph added 18 points and 12 rebounds as well.

NBA Handicapping Tips:

  • Magic are 0-4 ATS in the last four games following a S.U. loss.
  • Magic are 0-5 ATS in the last five games overall.
  • Grizzlies are 4-0 ATS in the last four games after holding their opponent to under 100 points in the previous game.
  • Grizzlies are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing S.U. record.
  • Favorite is 4-0 ATS in the last four head to head meetings.

NBA Gambling Prediction

The Magic continue to struggle, especially against Western Conference teams and look for this trend to continue tonight. Memphis is on a roll right now and are still trying to figure out where Jeff Green fits in.

The front court of the Grizzlies will be too much for Nikola Vucevic to handle tonight and look for this game to get ugly quick.

Free 4* NBA Betting Pick: MEM -12.5

Memphis will continue their dominance of the Magic tonight at home.

Memphis 106, Orlando 89

Play Memphis -12.5 and look for this game to end with a deficit closer to 20.
