Los Angeles
Surprise, the Lakers will be looking to break a losing streak as they head to Philadelphia.
This team is not going anywhere this season that is for sure but they I guess they are not completely boring as they are able to score it and give up a ton of points which means that the ball goes through the basket a lot.

I guess that is something positive at a time of year when things can be very grindy.
The amazing thing is that they are actually a noticeable underdog against the 76ers.
Not that injuries are as critical for this team as others but it looks like Jeremy Lin will be out for this one. Either way it looks like the Lakers may have found their PG for the future in rookie Jordan Clarkson.

Overall I am not a big fan but I have to admit he is having more success at this level than I anticipated. He was good speed and change of pace but I still question his ability to really run an offense.
Philadelphia
I guess the 76ers have been playing better of late. To be honest I was not paying close attention to them and figured they had something around 10 victories.
At close to double that they have carved out a gap between them and the Knicks that looks like it will assure a finish outside of the basement in the Atlantic Division, Eastern Conference and the whole NBA.
They are coming off a road loss to Cleveland by a point, a pretty strong performance given how bad they have been on the road this season.
When you look at the 76ers roster there are not a lot of familiar faces.
Tony Wroten is out for the season which is too bad because it looks like he might have a future in the league as a combo guard. Nerlens Noel might have a future as a Tyson Chandler type of player but I don’t see him developing an offensive game like fellow UK alum Anthony Davis.

Robert Covington led the team in points last game. He has been surprisingly effective as a 6’9” shooting guard.
