The Nuggets have to be hoping to turn over a new leaf in 2015.
They closed the season on a two game losing streak and overall have not been having a very good season.

The Nuggets have good depth but they are completely lacking in any sort of star quality.
They have struggled on the road all season long and this game looks a little trappish as they are on the road playing after New Year’s eve – I wonder if anyone has done the numbers on that to see if there is something there.
Injuries haven’t helped but this team is pretty outgunned these days.
They used to be able to rely on Melo to get buckets but now they lack someone who can really make shots even the defense is all over them.
In their last game one of their leading scorers was Jusuf Nurkic, their backup center.

That usually is not a place team’s turn to for points and the rookie big is unlikely to be a force again versus a team like Chicago.
Chicago
The Bulls had a brain cramp in their last game losing by 14 points to Brooklyn as a 10 point favourite…at home.
They are looking to correct that quickly with the Nuggets coming to the Windy City.
Prior to that game they had won 7 games in a row so there is little reason to worry, though not having Kirk Hinrich in the lineup has an effect.
Sometimes reserve guard Aaron Brooks is a world beater and other times not.
That is why Hinrich is a valuable piece of the puzzle.
The Bulls are the better team by far and at the moment there is no news that Derrick Rose it sitting this one out so they should roll.
He had a terrible game against Brooklyn in their recent loss but should bounce back, almost the whole team was awful in that one, except for Mike Dunleavy who scored 23 points.

Even good teams have those games from time to time but they bounce back too.
