The Dallas Mavericks have bolstered their bench by signing recently-waived Amar’e Stoudemire. What his impact will be has yet to be seen, but if he’s healthy, he could be the piece that gets this group into home-court advantage by the time the playoffs finally arrive.

Not only will Dallas have Stoudemire on board Thursday, but it’ll be receiving a de facto addition in Rajon Rondo. The point guard has missed six games with a facial injury.
Against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Mavericks will have the arduous task of going up against a healthy duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

Now is the time for OKC to make its push. The team is half a game behind the Phoenix Suns for the No. 8 spot out West, and a big win at home against a Western-Conference competitor would be an immediate step in the right direction.
