The NBA Finals have an interesting format change from the rest of the playoffs. The first two games were played in Oklahoma City, but the next three are played in Miami.

By winning Game Two, the Heat actually now have a small edge even though the series is tied 1-1.

It is up to Oklahoma City to win on Miami’s home court now.

Oklahoma City dug a massive hole in Game Two, and they weren’t quite able to come all the way back. The Thunder trailed by 17 in the second quarter before kicking it into gear late in the game. The Thunder got to within two points, but they could never get over the hump. Clearly, the Thunder have to quit spotting this talented Miami team so many points in the early minutes of the game.

Kevin Durant has been awesome in the series, but he needs to be more aggressive from the start of the game. Russell Westbrook is supremely talented, but he needs to stop settling for outside jump shots.

Oklahoma City’s defense needs to get out on three-point shooters quicker in this one as well.  [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Miami has to be happy to come home with the series all squared, but now they have to protect their home floor. LeBron James stepped up in the clutch in Game Two to lead the Heat to a massive victory.

James went a perfect 12 for 12 from the free throw line, and he racked up 30 points in the win. The biggest surprise of the series so far has been the scoring of Shane Battier. Battier averaged 4.6 points per game during the regular season, but he has scored 17 points in each of the first two games in this matchup.

Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade both had very good games in Game Two, and they’ll need to be consistent through the rest of the series.

Oklahoma City is an extremely talented team, and I think they’ll be ready to go from the tip this time. Look for the Thunder to at least get the cover here.
