NBA Betting – Bulls Aim For Playoffs

Team records:

New Jersey: 11-67 SU, 31-45-2 ATS

The Chicago Bulls were a very dangerous No. 8 seed in the playoffs last season and while they have been up-and-down this season, they have a very good chance of making the playoffs for a second straight year.

The Bulls have been deplorable at times but the equally pathetic Toronto Raptors are ready to cough up their eighth spot. The Raptors, who are 7-16 in their last 23 games, are doing everything possible to help the Bulls. With Chris Bosh out for the regular season and a trip to Atlanta looming on Friday, the Raptors, who are even with the Bulls, could very well lose their positioning.

Meanwhile, the Bulls get to face the league-worst New Jersey Nets. While it won’t be an easy matchup, especially in a back-to-back situation, the Bulls should be in good shape to win.

What’s  Happening With The Bulls

The Bulls are a tough team to figure out. At home, facing the Milwaukee Bucks who were without center Andrew Bogut, they put up a stinker in a 79-74 loss. Then a couple nights later, the Bulls outlasted the East best Cleveland Cavaliers 109-108. You never know what you’re going to get with this team but you would have to think that with their season on the line, they’ll be motivated to beat the worst team in the league.

As per their usual, the Bulls have had two very different contests with the Nets this year. In the first meeting in Chicago, the Bulls lost 103-101, handing the Nets just their second win of the season. Then in the second meeting, the Bulls thrashed New Jersey 106-83.

They are on a back-to-back situation but there is too much on the line for them to falter.

What’s  Happening With The Nets

Don’t look now, but the Nets aren’t so bad after all. To qualify that, they aren’t the worst team in NBA history – they have proven that. Even so, they are the worst team in the NBA this season according to records.

But the Nets, who have just 11 wins on the year, are 4-6 in their last 10. By their standards, that’s decent.

All four of those wins have come at home, where they will be playing on Friday night. Expect them to put up a fight.

Outlook & Pick

The Nets are bad but they will love having something to play for: a chance to ruin the Bulls playoff hopes. They will be very valiant in this contest but the Bulls will stay focused and get the close win.
