There will be nights when teams just don’t want to deal with OKC’s talent and intensity.

OKC loves rookie 6-foot-5 off guard James Harden, who could turn out to be a heck of a consolation prize after the Thunder wound up third in the draft and couldn’t take Oklahoma forward Blake Griffin. Harden will team nicely in the backcourt with PG Russell Westbrook.

Make no mistake, though. The offense runs through forward Kevin Durant, who will get touches on every offensive possession. Barring injury, Durant (25.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals) has the look and feel of a 10-year All-Star. He’s one of the great finishers in a league full of them.

Jeff Green (17 and 7) is an unassuming swingman and yet another emerging star, while Nenad Krstic will draw a nice NBA paycheck until the Thunder can get their hands on a legitimate NBA center.

Surprising stat: Just 23-59 SU last year, OKC was a kick-butt cover team, going 46-34 ATS.

Strengths: Durant is already one of the best scorers in the league, and the Blazers may rue the day they took Greg Oden No. 1 a few years back.

Weaknesses: The talent just needs time to nurture. These guys are on their way up.

Playoffs? Probably a year, maybe two, down the road.
