The front line of Joakim Noah, Tyrus Thomas and Luol Deng is hardly Bird-Parish-McHale, but Chicago does like rookie forward Taj Gibson, who can score a little and play the type of defense the team has lacked from its bigs over the last several years.
Surprising stat: The Bulls got to the playoffs by winning 10 of their last 14, only one victory (Miami) coming against an opponent that finished the season with a winning record.
Strengths: Rose, one of a growing group of tremendous young point guards in the NBA.
Weaknesses: This is a guard-oriented team on offense, and those types of teams can go only so far.
Playoffs? Decent shot, but things have to break right.

I think the Bulls have a good chance at making the playoffs but I wouldn’t have expectations of them moving past the first round. There just hasn’t been enough improvement this off season for them to seriously compete in the East.
