The 11th point race of the season is set to get underway at 7:30 p.m. (ET) and it will be broadcast nationally on FOX.

Denny Hamlin made his way to the Winner’s Circle last Sunday at Talladega to throw his hat in the ring as a legitimate contender in the Race for the Chase.

Greg Biffle had a strong showing by taking second and Clint Bowyer also ran hard to finish third.

The following is a look at my top favorite, contender and longshot to win this Saturday night’s race based on odds provided by Bovada.

The Favorite (odd of less than 10/1)

Both Jimmie Johnson and Kevin Harvick have slightly better odds to win on Saturday night, but I am going with Matt Kenseth at 8/1 as this week’s favorite.

The No. 20 car led the field in victories last season with seven and while it has made its way into the top 10 in seven of the first 10 point races this year, it is still searching for that elusive first win.

The main reason I like Kenseth’s chances this week is that he comes into this race as the defending champion. This followed a victory in the fall race at this track in 2012; adding even more value to these odds.

He has now finished in the top five in four of his last five Sprint Cup races here.

The Contender (odds from 10/1 to 19/1)

Brad Keselowski is rapidly become the type of driver you either hate or love as a NASCAR fan, but as far as I am concerned, he is one of those drivers that knows how to win when in position to get the job done.

The No. 2 car won at Las Vegas earlier in the year to go along with another three top-five finishes.

The team is currently in sixth place in the Sprint Cup standings with a total of 294 points. Keselowski has only raced in eight previous Sprint Cup events at this track, but his credentials remain strong with a victory in this race in 2011 and a sixth-place finish in last year’s race.

The Longshot (odds 20/1 or greater)

Looking back at the results for the first 10 point races this year, you find that quite a few longshots have made solid runs at winning theses races including Biffle and Bowyer last week at Talladega.

I am going with a proven winner this year as this week’s longshot pick with the 22/1 odds on Kurt Busch.

One of NASCAR’s original bad boys has already crossed the finish line first at Martinsville and the No. 41 car is holding down the eighth spot in the standings with 196 total points.

Busch has never won a Sprint Cup race at this track, but he is coming off a second-place finish in the second race at Kansas last season.
