Sunday’s race is set to get underway at 1 p.m. and it will be broadcast nationally on TNT.

There was some money to be made picking longshots last Sunday with Joey Logano winning the Pocono 400 at 18/1 with Mark Martin taking second at long odds as well. Tony Stewart, who closed at 10/1 finished third.

The following is a closer look at our favorite, contender, and longshot for this Sunday’s race along with their current odds to win as provided by Bovada.

The Favorite (odds of less than 10/1)

Denny Hamlin has been opened as one of two second-favorites at 17/2 to win on Sunday. He is coming off a fifth-place finish at Pocono which was his fifth top-five finish in his last seven races. The No. 11 car is currently in fourth place in the standings with 504 points by virtue two victories and five other top five’s in the first 14 point races .

Hamlin has the rare opportunity to win the same race three-straight times after taking the checkered flag in this event in 2010 and 2011. He has a total of five top-five finishes and average finishing position of 12.1 at this track.

The Contender (odds of 10/1 to 19/1)

Last week’s 24th-place finish dropped Greg Biffle all the way to third in the standings after holding the top spot for most of the season. [ad-8757089]

The No.16 car is still in top form this season with seven top-five finishes that includes a victory at Texas. Biffle has been opened at 10/1 to cross the finish line first on Sunday.

He finished 15th in last year’s race, but has posted seven top-five finishes at this track including a victory in this race in 2005.

He has an average finishing position of 12.8 at Michigan.

The Longshot (odds of 20/1 or higher)

Clint Bowyer only has two top-five finishes this season, but he has raced well enough to move into ninth-place in the standings with 443 points.

The No.15 car comes into this race in solid form with a sixth-place finish last week at Pocono to follow-up a fifth-place finish the week before at Dover.

He has been opened as a 25/1 longshot to break through with a win this week and there is a fair amount of value in these odds considering that Bowyer finished eighth in his last two races at Michigan.
