The Jays have won every which way in their recent run of 12 wins in 14 games.
In this one it was with another offensive explosion but not to be overlooked was another awesome pitching performance from a rested Drew Hutchison. They almost wasted it but the offense came through in the end.

The Jays have been getting good production from their starting staff but Dickey has been enigmatic. It seems he has figured out how to pitch at the Rogers Centre, with a 5-1 record and 3.48 ERA but he has been a disaster on the road this season – 6.23 ERA.
The biggest problem has been walks. He has issued more free passes on the road in less than half the innings.

Those will kill you every time.
Detroit
Detroit is all of a sudden in a mini-slump. They have lost three in a row with two more against the Jays and the suddenly hot Red Sox coming for a visit later in the week.
Lucky for them they still have a nice cushion in the AL Central. In the loss on Tuesday the bullpen fell apart late but the offense also failed to score more than 3 runs for the third game in a row, no coincidence they were all losses.
The Tigers lineup is a little top heavy and they need guys like Austin Jackson and Nick Castellanos to start pulling their weight.
On a staff loaded with aces Rick Porcello does not get much attention but he is leading the Tigers in wins at the moment.
He is on pace to eclipse his career high of 14 but I wonder if we are starting to see some cracks. He gave up 8 runs to Texas just two starts ago and more than half of his walks have occurred in his last three starts.
Facing the Jays powerful lineup is going to be a huge test.
These are two of the best offenses in the American League so the sharp play is probably the over given Dickey’s struggles on the road and the fact that Porcello success is certainly not based on domination.
I like the value with Toronto this one too.
They are playing great and their offense is no fluke.
