This is a very deep lineup that starts with Jon Jay at the top and moves all the way down to the Yadier Molina or David Freese in the seven spot. The Reds lost in extra innings last night in a game they really should have won. How will the team bounce back from that tough loss? Todd Frazier has been amazing of late for the Reds. Frazier is a candidate for Rookie of the Year thanks to his 18 homers and 55 RBI’s in limited action this season. Cincinnati has the fourth best team ERA in the majors. The Reds bullpen has been spectacular all season, and the starters have improved as the season has gone along. Mat Latos has a brilliant 1.23 ERA in his last three starts.
The Reds understand the importance of this series, and I think they have a pitching advantage in this one. Look for Cincinnati to get back on track right away.
