They are dealing with some injuries right now with Hanley Ramirez and Josh Beckett hitting the DL in the last week. Offensively it is a very good sign that Adrian Gonzalez is coming to life.
He hit 2 homers against the Brewers and had 5 RBI over the weekend.

The pitching has been very good but their offense is good enough to carry the club at times.
With Beckett on the DL there was a slot available for newly acquired Kevin Correia. He may have lost 13 games with the Twins this season but put him in a winning situation and in a pitchers park and there is no reason to think he can’t fill the gap admirably.
His best season as a starter was in the NL West back when he was with San Diego. He may be filler for now but he is reasonable quality filler.
Atlanta Braves
The Braves are in trouble.
They are in danger of losing touch with Washington and have fallen behind three teams in the Wild Card standings. Sure it is nice to make headlines with the Upton Brothers going yard in the same game but this team needs wins badly and their offense is ruining the efforts of a very good pitching staff.
The run production has fallen because essentially everyone in the lineup is having a down year. They may had bid adios to the black hole that was Uggla but there is still a lot more holes to fill.
Julio Teheran has built upon his impressive rookie campaign, dropping his ERA under 3 and assuming the role of staff ace. He has been absolutely stellar at home with a 4-1 record and an ERA that is just 1.48. He had a very strong outing against the Dodgers last week with 8 innings and just 2ER but came up short in a 2-1 loss.
It is games like that that have made it hard to improve on his 10-8 record.

There is not a lot of value on the Braves in this one with Teheran taking on Correia who I am sure the betting public has completely soured on – as if they were ever on him.
It is not a bad assumption to think the Braves might have a nice warm welcome back to the NL for him. especially lefties Freddie Freeman and Jason Heyward.
