It was the seventh victory in nine contests for Baltimore, which maintained its 2 1/2-game lead over Toronto in the American League East.

The O’s will look to gain some ground by sending left-hander Tyler Skaggs to the mound in the series finale.

The 23-year-old rebounded from a pair of rough outings to hold the Tigers to one run and five hits in his last outing after posting only a single win at Texas on July 13, in his last eight outings, Skaggs has never has faced Baltimore.

Los Angeles will counter with Bud Norris, who lost for the second time in three outings on Saturday yielding four runs on six hits and three walks in five innings at Seattle.

The 29-year-old is 6-3 over his last nine outings, following a four-start winning streak. Norris is 4-0 with a 0.52 ERA in five career games against the Angels including his last start versus LA on July 21, when he gave up one earned run in 6 2/3 frames.

Matt’s Free Prediction: Orioles-

The Orioles pitching staff has been in a groove lately, allowing three or less runs in seven of their last nine games and are 9-3 in Norris’ last 12 home starts.

If you just look at Norris’ career numbers against the Angels, you have to go with the O’s here.
