Miami
Miami continues to struggle.

It is awesome to see Giancarlo Stanton hit a ball further than humanly thought possible but at the same time a few wins would be a whole lot more interesting to fans.
The Marlins are visiting Pittsburgh with a two game winning streak on the line and a healthy lineup but the pitching staff has been rocked with injuries.
Three starters non including Jose Fernandez are on the disabled list which is making it tough to trot out appropriate arms.

That is why David Phelps is seeing much more action in the Majors instead of AAA this season.
The former Yankee may have his moments but I have never been much of a fan. His last start was his worst of the season but for some reason he pitches a lot better away from Marlins Park.
I am usually all over viable underdogs but he is not someone I am targeting at all.
Pittsburgh
The Pirates are a game under .500 and in third place in the NL Central.
This year’s team may actually be more talented than the one’s that have made the playoffs the last couple of seasons but have yet to find their it factor.
They just swept the Mets over the weekend and have the second best pitching in the Majors so maybe things are finally coming together. Assuming that pitching holds this team has a lot of room to grow as the lineup gets back to career norms.
Charlie Morton is making his first start of the season. He is no ace but he should give the Pirates that much more depth in the rotation and he probably replaces Vance Worley who has not been great.
When a pitcher is making his season debut this late in the year it is not a good thing but this is a veteran guy not a rookie.

With the Pirates playing well I think you can back Pittsburgh in this situation.
