Perennial slugger Albert Pujols and the Los Angles Angels will begin a 10-game road trip that starts with a three-game set against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday night. Pujols is just one steal shy of becoming the 12th player in major league history with 500 career homers and 100 stolen bases.
The Angels (17-17) wrapped up a nine-game homestand with a two-game sweep of Colorado on Wednesday, finishing 6-3 and bringing their overall record to an even .500 for the first time in May.

Mike Trout was the big hero in Wednesday’s win, making a pair of amazing defensive plays in extra innings that set up a Pujols game-ending sacrifice fly.
It was Pujols 17th career walk-off as the Angels beat the Rockies 2-1, in 11 innings
Meanwhile, Baltimore (15-17) has improved to two games under .500 with a pair of wins over the Toronto Blue Jays during a three-game series that opened nine-game homestand.

The O’s have been unable to string together more than three victories in a row , but with their last win over Toronto, managed to improve to 10-6 at home.
Baltimore has been successful against Los Angeles, going 2-1 in each of their series against the Angels in 2014.
The will look to continue that trend by sending lefty Wei-Yin Chen to the mound in the opener. Chen won 16 games in 2014, but collected just his first victory of the season in his last time out in a one-run five-hit effort against the New York Yankees.
Chen hasn’t faced the Angels since his rookie season in 2012, when he went 0-1 with a 5.23 ERA in two starts against them.
The Angles will counter with three-time All-Star Jered Weaver. The right-hander tossed a six-hitter in last Friday’s 2-0 victory over the Astros, while recording his first complete game since last May.

Weaver is 7-4 with a 3.46 ERA in 12 all-time starts against Baltimore.
