After a brief slump, the Dodgers have won two in a row, and aim to make it three when the opener a four-game series with the Cincinnati Reds beginning Thursday at Dodger Stadium.

The right hander is coming off his first major-league victory in his second start, after allowing just a single run on four hits during a six-inning 4-1 victory at Arizona on Saturday.
The 24-year-old was claimed off waivers from San Diego during the offseason and in his first start with the Reds, lost to Pittsburgh 3-0 on Aug. 2.This will be his first appearance against Los Angeles.
Dodgers
The Los Angeles pitching staff continues its dominance, as the Dodgers lead the MLB with 17 shutouts and San Francisco by 3 1/2 games in the National League West.
One day after ace Zack Grienke picked up a win, halting the Dodgers’ four-game losing streak, Clayton Kershaw pitched lights out in a 3-0 victory Wednesday.

Now LA (64-50) will aim to continue its streak by sending Cy Young-caliber Mat Latos (4-8, 4.67 ERA) to the mound on Thursday.
The right-hander did not fare so well in his second start with Los Angeles since being acquired from Miami, and during his last turn, coughed up six runs and seven hits in four innings in Pittsburgh. Latos is 1-1 with a 3.70 ERA in three starts versus Cincinnati.
