Our Hot NBA Teams article begins with Monday nights come from behind road win and cover at the expense of Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets saw the Blazers pick up their fifth straight win…

NBA’s Hot List – Blazers and Celtics are Burning it Up

The NBA sports betting season is in full swing at BetUS Sportsbook, and the following teams have been hot for NBA bettors over the last week of action:

(RANK) (TEAM) (SU RECORD) (ATS RECORD) (ATS RECORD L/5 +$$)

1) Portland Trailblazers (30-17) (24-22 ATS) (5-0 ATS L/5 +$500):Monday nights come from behind road win and cover at the expense of Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets saw the Blazers pick up their fifth straight win both SU and ATS to improve their seasonal mark to 24-22 ATS overall. Their last week’s worth of action saw them go into the Staples Center as 10.5-point road favorites and bombard the ailing Clippers by a 113-88 final count, and then cover a pair of lofty spreads at home against Utah and Charlotte. LaMarcus Aldridge has given head coach Nate McMillan valuable minutes by scoring at least 20 points in 17 of the Blazers L/26 games. They’ll continue their three game road trip with stops at Dallas and Oklahoma City before returning home to host the NY Knicks on Sunday.

2) Boston Celtics (37-9) (26-20 ATS) (4-1 ATS L/5 +$290): After going just 2-7 both SU and ATS from December 25th to January 9th, the Celtics find themselves in the midst of another impressive winning streak that’s seen them win 11 in a row and cover nine of those games for NBA bettors odds. The Celtics disposed of its three opponents last week, but only posted a 2-1 ATS mark for its betting backers. They’ve dominated their L/5 opponents outscoring them by an average score of 106-92, which included a 119-100 home win and cover against Sacramento as lofty 17-point favorites and a respectable 86-78 road win and cover as 5.5-point favorites against Detroit. The lone ATS defeat came in their most recent effort against the Minnesota Timberwolves where they won 109-101, but failed to cover the closing 12-point spread. The flu bug has invaded the C’s locker room, so be sure to check all players status before continuing to back them on their torrid streak.

3) New York Knicks (21-26) (27-20 ATS) (4-1 ATS L/5 +$290): The Knicks got back into the good graces of NBA bettors with a 3-2 SU and 4-1 ATS mark over the course of their L/5 games played. Unfortunately, their seven game ATS winning streak came to a halt on Monday night when Kobe Bryant dumped 61 on them in the Lakers 126-117 road win and cover. However before that, the Knicks beat Houston as one-point home favorites 104-98, and then got the best of both Atlanta and Indiana as home and road underdogs before succumbing to the “Lakeshow.” NY finally seems to have caught onto HC Mike D’Antoni’s schemes as the team has surpassed the 100-point plateau in each of its L/8 overall games. They get to host the two best teams in the Eastern Conference next (Cleveland, Boston) before heading out west to play the first of their three game Western Conference road swing against the Portland Blazers.

And the rest….

4) Chicago Bulls (21-27) (22-26 ATS) (4-1 ATS L/5 +$290):
5) Denver Nuggets (31-16) (27-19-1 ATS) (4-1 ATS L/5 +$290):
6) Dallas Mavericks (28-19) (22-25 ATS) (4-1 ATS L/5 +$290)
7) Los Angeles Lakers (38-9) (24-23 ATS) (4-1 ATS L/5 +$290)
