In the regular season, Indianapolis QB Peyton Manning completed 393 passes on 571 attempts (68.8%) for a total of 4500 yards. He threw 33 TD’s, 16 interceptions, and was sacked 10 times. His overall passer rating was 99.9. In his two postseason games he completed 56 passes on 83 attempts (67.5%) for a total of 623 yards. He threw 5 TD’s, 1 interception, and was sacked four times. His passer rating was 104.6.

The Saints top two receivers; Marques Colston and Devery Henderson combined for 121 receptions for 1878 yards and 11 TD’s. Overall, nine different players had 10 or more receptions on the year.

The Colts top two receivers; Reggie Wayne and TE Dallas Clark combined for 200 receptions for 2370 yards and 20 TD’s. Overall, six different players had 10 or more receptions on the year.

This Super Bowl will be the first time in history that both starting quarterbacks threw for over 4000 yards in the regular season.

The Saints recorded a total of 35 sacks in the regular season. DE Will Smith led the team with 13

The Colts recorded a total of 34 sacks in the regular season. DE Dwight Freeney led the team with 13 ½.

The Saints turnover ratio was +11 in the regular season and +6 in the postseason.

The Colts turnover ratio was +2 in the regular season and +3 in the postseason.

The AFC has won 21 Super Bowls and the NFC has won 22. The AFC has won seven out of the last 10.

The average margin of victory in the last 10 Super Bowls has been 10 points. In the last five games it is 6.6 points.
