Lions vs. Colts Betting Trends + Pick Wk 15

Preview and Week 15 NFL cappers matchup tips for this weeks Detroit Lions vs. Indianapolis Colts matchup, plus an NFL Betting Preview, a look at the gambling trends, plus a free pick…

NFL Sports Betting – Streaking Colts Host Lowly Lions

While the lowly Detroit Lions (0-13 SU, 5-8 ATS, 8-4-1 O/U) appear to be well on their way toward recording the first 0-16 regular season record in NFL history they managed to cover the spread for BetUS Sportsbook online NFL betting enthusiasts in Week 14. The Indianapolis Colts (9-4 SU, 6-6-1 ATS, 6-7 O/U) have won six straight games while covering the spread for backers in two of their last three games.

The Colts will look to extend their winning ways when they host the Lions they meet at RCA Dome.

Detroit is coming off a narrow, 20-16 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, but covered the spread in the BetUS Sportsbook as a 10-point home underdog last week.

“I believe in the invisible,” head coach Rod Marinelli said. “I think you go on and you have faith in what you do. If you don’t have it, you’re nothing. You’re not a man.

“If you just say, ‘I give up, we’re no good, we can’t do this, oh woe is me’, and look for pity, that’s disgraceful to me. I look for every positive I can find on this football team to get them better.”

Quarterback Daunte Culpepper completed 14 of 24 passes for 220 yards with one touchdown for Detroit while wide receiver Calvin Johnson had three catches for 84 yards with one score.

Culpepper was sacked four times and the Lions were limited to field goals on three drives that stalled inside the red zone.

The Colts lambasted the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, losing 35-3 as a 13.5-point home favorite last week.

Veteran quarterback Peyton Manning completed 26 of 32 passes for 277 yards with three touchdown passes for the Colts, while wide receiver Marvin Harrison caught three passes for 78 yards and one touchdown.

Defensive back Kelvin Hayden returned one of his two interceptions 85 yards for a touchdown, giving the Colts defense two scores in the last two games.

“The first thing is you have to get in the playoffs,” Colts coach Tony Dungy said. “… If we get in, I think we’ll have as good a shot as anyone.”

Here is a look at tonight’s key betting trends, followed by my in-depth analysis and NFL Free Pick:

The total has gone OVER in 5 of Detroit’s last 6 games
Detroit is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games on the road
The total has gone OVER in 8 of Detroit’s last 10 games on the road
Detroit is 2-4 SU in its last 6 games when playing Indianapolis
Indianapolis is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games
Indianapolis is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games at home
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Indianapolis’s last 6 games
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Indianapolis’s last 6 games at home

NFL Odds

Detroit +17.5 (+900) Over/Under 45
Indianapolis -17.5 (-1600) Over/Under 45

Analysis: I’ll keep this pick short and sweet by saying I fully expect the Colts to blow the Lions out of the water by halftime. A three touchdown spread shouldn’t be too much to cover.
