Cappers Cowboys vs. Rams Betting Trends + Pick

Preview and Week 7 NFL cappers matchup tips for this week’s Dallas Cowboys vs. St. Louis Rams matchup, plus an NFL Betting Preview, a look at the gambling trends, plus a free pick

Struggling Dallas Cowboys Hit the Road to Take On Inspired St. Louis Rams

While the Dallas Cowboys (4-2 SU, 2-4, 4-2 O/U), were supposed ‘favorites’ to either reach or challenge for the Super Bowl this season in the NFC, the sputtering team has shown a multitude of chinks in their armor over the last three weeks.

The ‘Boys’ are on the road this week to face an inspired St. Louis Rams (1-4 SU, 1-4 ATS, 3-2 O/U) team that is coming off its first win of the season in the BetUS Sportsbook in new head coach Jim Haslett’s debut after the team fired former head coach Scott Linehan after an atrocious 0-4 start.

Both teams are now in desperate need of a victory as they meet on Sunday at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, but the Cowboys have some issues, both on and off the field that could make beating the rejuvenated Rams tough.

The Cowboys lost to the Arizona Cardinals on the road 30-24 in overtime in a game that I called dead-on in the BetUS Locker Room last week, failing to cover as 5-point favorites in Week 6 and will be without starting ‘head case’ cornerback Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones who was suspended by commissioner Roger Goodell after another alcohol-fueled off-field incident, this time with his own security personnel.

To make matters worse, the Cowboys will also be without quarterback Tony Romo who broke the pinkie on his throwing hand late in the loss to Arizona. The good news for Dallas is that they added pro bowl caliber wideout Roy Williams after acquiring him in a trade with the Detroit Lions just before the annual trade deadline on Tuesday.

The Rams are coming off a not-so-surprising 19-17 win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday that I also called in the BetUS Locker Room last week as quarterback Marc Bulger completed 15 of 26 passes for 136 yards with no touchdowns in the win.

Despite not scoring an offensive touchdown in the game, place kicker Josh Brown connected on four field goals and safety Oshiomogho Atogwe returned a fumble 75 yards for the Rams’ only touchdown. St. Louis also sacked Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell four times.

Veteran signal caller Brad Johnson will make the start in place of Romo.

Here is a look at tonight’s key trends, followed by my in-depth analysis and NFL Gambling Free Picks:

Dallas is 9-2 SU in its last 11 games on the road
The total has gone OVER in 4 of Dallas’s last 5 games
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Dallas’s last 5 games on the road
Dallas is 17-6 SU in its last 23 games
The total has gone OVER in 4 of St. Louis’s last 5 games at home
The total has gone OVER in 5 of St. Louis’s last 7 games
St. Louis is 2-4 ATS in its last 6 games when playing at home against Dallas
St. Louis is 2-4 SU in its last 6 games when playing at home against Dallas

NFL Odds

Dallas Cowboys -6½ -110
St. Louis Rams +6½ -110

Over 43 -110
Under 43 -110

Analysis: I smell another win by the Rams this week as they will get after Johnson defensively. While expecting them to beat an absolutely desperate Cowboys team that may be pushing it just a bit, but my keen betting sense tells me the Rams cover the spread at the very least here.

Take the Rams to cover and likely win outright!
