Preview and Week 11 NFL cappers matchup tips for tonight’s Monday Night Football Browns vs. Bills matchup, plus an NFL Betting Preview, a look at the gambling trends, plus a free pick…

NFL Betting – Desperate Bills Host Defenseless Browns

The Buffalo Bills (5-4 SU, 4-5 ATS, 4-4-1 O/U) have dropped three straight games in the BetUS Sportsbook! The Cleveland Browns (3-6 SU, 5-4 ATS, 4-5 O/U) have seen their 2008-09 regular season go down in the flames of dysfunction.

Both teams are in desperate need of a victory as they square off tonight at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

After getting of to a fantastic 5-1 start, the Bills have dropped three consecutive games, including Sunday’s 20-10 loss to the New England Patriots while failing to cover the spread for NFL sports betting backers as 3.5-point road favorites.

“We have to get our swagger back,” running back Fred Jackson said. “Going into these last couple of weeks, we haven’t had that normal swagger that we usually have. … That’s something we want to address, because we know we’re better than we’re playing.”

Quarterback Trent Edwards was limited to 13 of 23 passing for 120 yards, tossing one touchdown but getting picked off twice in the loss. Running back Marshawn Lynch was held to just 46 yards on 14 carries.

“I think it’s just the same old thing, little mistakes here or there that kill a drive … it’s tough to move the ball and consistently perform well when you continue to shoot yourself in the foot,” Edwards told the Bills’ official Web site. “That’s what’s been happening lately and we need to do a good job of fixing that pretty soon.”

The Browns are coming off a disheartening 34-30 home loss to the Denver Broncos in which they allowed Denver to score three fourth quarter touchdowns to ruin a fine first start for backup quarterback Brady Quinn.

Quinn completed 23 of 35 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns while veteran running back Jamal Lewis added 60 rushing yards on 19 carries with one touchdown.

“This is as frustrated as I’ve been in as many years as I’ve been playing,” said Lewis. “I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. I’m just not cut from this kind of cloth. I play physical football. I come out here and give it my all – all week. This is the NFL. You can’t call it quits until the game is over. But it looks to me like some people call it quits before that.”

Joshua Cribbs, Cleveland’s All-Pro kick returner, agreed with Lewis’ statements.

“We know if everybody didn’t quit, we would’ve won that ballgame,” he said.

Cleveland’s defense has been almost non-existent recently, giving up a whopping 496.5 yards per game in their last two losses.
“It seems like the word ‘quit’ has taken a life of its own and grown a little bit bigger, and now the Browns are quitters and the coach has lost control of the team and there’s division in the locker room, and that’s not the case,” Crennel said. “These guys are going to play and play together. Whether we play good enough remains to be seen.”

Here is a look at the key trends for each team, followed by my in-depth analysis and NFL Free Picks.

Buffalo Bills -5½ -110

Under 40½ -110

Analysis: I’ve got a strange feeling the Browns may actually cover the spread in this game, but I’m going to go against my better judgment and hope it doesn’t end up coming back to bite me in the rear end.

Take the absolutely desperate Buffalo Bills to bring their collective ‘A’ game and beat the Browns by the touchdown they need to cover the spread here at home.
