2008 Emerald Bowl

Since 2002 The College bowl game “The Emerald Bowl” has been played at the 40,800-seat AT&T Park (home of the San Francisco Giants) in San Francisco, California. The 2007 Emerald Bowl saw Oregon State defeat Maryland by a 21-14 score.  

The 2008 matchup has Miami (Florida) playing the California Golden Bears on December 27th, in a prime time, Saturday night pairing of notable East & West Coast programs.  Miami-Florida Hurricanes (7-5) vs. California Golden Bears (8-4).

Cal will be playing right across the San Francisco Bay from their campus and should enjoy a significant home field advantage. The Bears are a much more veteran team than the very young Hurricanes, who played the second most freshmen in the entire country this year.
