UFC Betting – Jon “Bones” Jones Should Roll At UFC 100

The water cooler is a buzz with all of the NFL betting odds and everyone is already up to their NFL betting picks and their selections on the Super Bowl odds, but we’ve got a mega event before then.

The UFC will be hosting a Super Bowl of its own and you can bet your money that Dana White will be looking to put on a show for the 100th anniversary of UFC events. We all know the big boys who will be fighting on the card – fighters like Frank Mir, Brock Lesnar, George St. Pierre, Thiago Alves, Dan Henderson, Michael Bisping – but one of the more underrated fighters on the UFC fight card will be Jon “Bones” Jones.

Jones is set to square off with Jake O’Brien and there aren’t many people that are picking O’Brien.

Jones is a young, up-and-coming star in the UFC and you can bet that it’s no coincidence that he is fighting on one of the most important cards in UFC history.

Jones is viewed as someone who will have plenty of potential and might be a superstar and champion one day. The odds makers seem to agree when you examine the line in his fight against O’Brien. UFC 100: Jon Bones Jones vs. Jake OBrien Preview

Jones is one of the biggest favorites on the board at UFC 100 as he’s at -475 over O’Brien. The next biggest favorite is George St. Pierre, who is at -300.

O’Brien tried his hand at heavyweight but got crushed at the hands of Cain Velasquez and Andre Orlovsky, but then he dropped down to light heavyweight and won. Both fighters are quality wrestlers and we’ll get a good look at who is in fact better, if it comes down to that.

But if the wrestling skills of both fighters cancel each other out, then the edge has to go to Jones, who is much better on his feet.

Jones is clearly the better man standing and he has a ton of unorthodox ways to strike. But at the end of the day, O’Brien doesn’t really have any advantages in this fight and he’ll likely get the short end of the stick if this fight is close and goes to decision.

Any way you cut it, most sports predictions will pick Jones and they should be rewarded with a win at UFC 100.
