Boxing will take center stage in sports betting action this weekend when ‘Sugar’ Shane Mosley and ‘Pretty Boy’ Floyd Mayweather Jr. duke it out for the WBA world welterweight title Saturday.

This highly anticipated fight, which pits the undefeated Mayweather (40-0, 25 KO) against the current WBA Welterweight Super Champion (46-5, 39 KO), takes place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas (11 pm ET, PPV).
Mayweather is a big -450 moneyline favorite while Mosley is a +300 underdog in Boxing Lines at betED.com. The round over/under total is 11.5 (Over, -365; Under, +285).
The fight came about after a match between Mosley and WBC Welterweight champ Andre Berto was scrapped in January. The two were to meet in a WBC-WBA welterweight title unification bout on Jan. 30, but the match was cancelled because of the earthquake in Haiti, in which Berto lost several family members. 
After the cancellation, promoters started putting together this weekend’s matchup in which the fighters are reportedly splitting $50 million up front, and which contains a rematch clause that allows Mayweather to fight Mosley again if Mosely wins Saturday.
While the 38-year-old Mosley is the clear underdog, he has a history of big upsets including two victories over Oscar De La Hoya.
His last fight was against Antonio Margarito on Jan. 24, 2009, which he won by TKO to win the WBA Super World Welterweight title.
Mayweather, Jr., the 32-year-old son of Floyd Mayweather Sr., is the former WBC Welterweight champion, and has won six world boxing championships in five different boxing weight classes.
His last fight was Sept. 19 against Juan Manuel Marquez, which he won by unanimous decision.
