Thankfully, Week 3 of the NFL season didn’t bring as many catastrophic injuries. But a few interesting yet familiar names popped up and should be considered automatic Adds for Fantasy squads.

Take a look at Dave B’s Week 4 Waiver Wire and good pickins’!

QBs

Matt Hasselbeck – Tennessee Titans – Hasselbeck has quietly averaged over 310 yards over his first 3 games of the season. He had 311 and two touchdowns on Sunday. The Titans are 2-1 and have Cleveland up next week.

Vince Young – Philadelphia Eagles – Michael Vick is does NOT have a broken hand. He may miss time but maybe a game at the most. Young is apparently healthy and willing to step in for the next time Vick gets hurt – it won’t be too long! Kafka proved nothing – Young is the man.

Curtis Painter – Indianapolis Colts – Painter relieved Kerry Collins who was brutal and then knocked out of the game with a concussion. Painter could start in Week 4 as unappealing as that sounds.

Other to Monitor: Jason Campbell – Oakland Raiders

RBs

Jonathan Stewart – Carolina Panthers – Stewart has looked far better than DeAngelo Williams and is getting his touches. Over the last two weeks Stewart has averaged 13.5 touches and has averaged 95 yards per game from those touches.

LaDainian Tomlinson – New York Jets – I am still not sold on Shonn Greene. Tomlinson continues to be a huge part of the Jets offense. On Sunday he had 11 touches 154 combined yards and a touchdown.

Kendall Hunter – San Francisco 49ers – Frank Gore was injured in Week 3 and his availability for Week 4 is already in question. Kendall Hunter will likely start if Gore is out of action. Hunter had 36 combined yards and a touchdown in relief on Sunday.

Bernard Scott – Cincinnati Bengals – Cedric Benson is headed for a 3 game suspension supposedly. That leaves Scott as the logical replacement as lead back in Cincinnati.

WRs

Nate Washington – Tennessee Titans – With Kenny Britt out for the season with a knee injury, Washington is a more than capable replacement. He and Matt Hasselbeck have a very good chemistry. 8 catches, 92 yards and a touchdown on Sunday are proof! [ad-8469823]

Torrey Smith – Baltimore Ravens – Wow! That is a way to make a name for yourself. Smith had 5 catches for 152 yards and three touchdowns on Sunday. Smith could be hampered by a healthy Lee Evans but he is firmly on the Fantasy radar with Sunday’s effort.

Victor Cruz – New York Giants – Cruz filled in for an injured Mario Manningham and what a job he did! He had 3 catches, 110 yards and 2 touchdowns on Sunday. But like Smith, his production will likely take a hit when the starter returns to action.

Brandon Gibson – St. Louis Rams – Gibson is solid and Sam Bradford’s most trusted target right now. In 3 games so far this season, Gibson has gone over 50 yards receiving, He’s a depth Fantasy player but an effective one!

Others to Monitor – Andre Caldwell – Cincinnati Bengals, Brian Hartline – Miami Dolphins, Michael Jenkins – Minnesota Vikings, Donald Jones, Buffalo Bills, Patrick Crayton – San Diego Chargers

TEs

Jared Cook – Tennessee Titans – With Britt gone for the season, Cook becomes an immediate second option on a team that has averaged over 300 yards through the air. He hasn’t been spectacular yet but he will have every chance to be.

Brandon Pettigrew – Detroit Lions – Chances are that he’s already gone but if not his 11 catch 112 yards effort on Sunday has caught everyone’s eyes.

Greg Olsen – Carolina Panthers – He’s likely gone too but if not… 7 catches for 57 yards and a touchdown on Sunday – grab him!

Others to monitor: James Casey – Houston Texans, Randy McMichael – San Diego Chargers

Defense

Washington Redskins – They have been good all season and looked very good against the Cowboys on Monday night. They have some easy matchups on the schedule coming up and could be a very nice add.
