HOT + NOT For Week 2 Fantasy Football

Looking for Internet Fantasy Predictions then look no further than our Dave B our fantasy expert weighing in on weekly fantasy football topics for Week 2 action…

HOT AND NOT WEEK 2

If you are in need of a HOT fantasy football player these Top Hot players for the week should help you out if they’re in your lineup. They may also be free agents on your waiver wire.

If you need to dump a lame duck on your team, these NOTS should be them. Throw em in the trash if you can afford to not have them on your bench. Fantasy Football always favors the prepared mind.

The more research you do, and the more HOT players you have to choose from on your team, the better your odds are of winning your fantasy football league outright this year.

After all of the weekly games are finished be sure to check our waiver wire column, studs and duds, a who’s hot, and who’s not report plus more in our fantasy football guide.

Welcome to another NFL Football season and welcome to another year of Dave B’s Hot and Not List. Because only one week is in the books, this Week’s Hot and Not will be made up of players who played well in Week 1 and have juicy matchups going forward.

Enjoy the Week 2 instalment of Dave B’s Hot and Not!

Hot

QBs

Peyton Manning – Indianapolis Colts – 433 yards and three touchdowns last week! Unreal! He plays the New York Giants and Champ Bailey and the Denver Broncos in the next two weeks but without a running game in Indianapolis, Manning is going to have to be huge for an already desperate team.

Eli Manning – New York Giants – He played well in week 1 and was one of only a few quarterbacks to throw three touchdowns. Upcoming games include a shootout against his brother and a game against Tennessee. His new – found toy Hakeem Nicks looks to have boosted Eli’s game.

Carson Palmer – Cincinnati Bengals – He threw 50 times on Sunday and gained 345 yards with two touchdowns. Maybe the offense can transform! They have a tough game against Baltimore, the play Carolina and Cleveland.

RBs

Arian Foster – Houston Texans – 231 yards and three touchdowns last week and with the potent passing attack in Houston, teams will not be able to focus just on him. The passing game opens holes for the running game and vice versa. Foster is poised to have a huge year. I smell an injury!

Chris Johnson – Tennessee Titans – He has games against Pittsburgh and the New York Jets but is on the list because he has at least 100 yards in 12 straight games.

Rashard Mendenhall – Pittsburgh Steelers – He is the only offense that they can depend on right now and Mike Tomlin isn’t afraid to use him. Expect 25 touches for Mendenhall against Tennessee and Tampa.

WRs

Hakeem Nicks – New York Giants – Any receiver that gets the trust of his quarterback in the Red Zone like Nicks makes the list. He scored three touchdowns on Sunday and is unquestionably Manning’s go-to-guy.

Roddy White – Atlanta Falcons – He was targeted 23 times in week 1 – 23! He grabbed 11 balls for 111 yards and should continue his Hot play against Arizona and New Orleans.

Chad Ochocinco – Cincinnati Bengals – on the list because I hate Terrell Owens! 12 catches, 159 yards and a score in Week 1 doesn`t hurt either!

Not Hot

QBs

Brett Favre – Minnesota Vikings – Brett looked slow and indecisive in Week 1 and I think that teams have finally figured a way to defeat the old man – beat the hell out of him. You shouldn’t have come back Brett – football is a nasty business!

Chad Henne – Miami Dolphins – Buffalo made him look bad and not even one of the most trusted receivers in the NFL (Brandon Marshall) could do a thing about it. Games against Minnesota and the New York Jets aren’t any easier.

Trent Edwards – Buffalo Bills – When will Buffalo finally give up on the three quarterbacks on their roster? Edwards is destined to be this year’s fantasy Jamarcus Russell.

RBs

Buffalo RBs – Fred Jackson, CJ Spiller and Marshawn Lynch gained a total 50 yards last week. Spiller had 6 yards on 7 carries. Buffalo is a sinking ship already.

Frank Gore – San Francisco 49ers – 38 yards last week and the team looks terrible. When the 49ers get behind this week against New Orleans, they will have to abandon the run.

Ryan Grant – Green Bay Packers – see ya!

WRs

DeSean Jackson – Philadelphia Eagles – With Vick at quarterback, Jackson is Not Hot. He is not a big part of the Mike Vick game plan.

Mike Sims-Walker – Jacksonville Jaguars – Zero catches last week for a supposed number 1 receiver – brutal!

Bernard Berrian – Minnesota Vikings – Next thing we know, the Vikes are going to start negotiations with Jerry Rice – anything but Bernard Berrian!
