Week 16 is upon us and for many, it is Super Bowl week! There were some key injuries in Week 15 that will require immediate replacement and some that need to be monitored before game time. In any case, there is not much need for depth going forward so empty those reserves and pick up a player that could help you this week.

Enjoy the last edition of Dave B’s Waiver Wire. I hope that I helped you this Fantasy season.

If so, leave a comment and if not – see you next year!

QBs

Rex Grossman – Washington Redskins – The starting job in Washington is his and this week, he travels to Jacksonville to take on one of the worst offenses in the NFL. He could actually be OK this week – just like last week in which he threw for 322 yards and four touchdowns.

Shawn Hill – Detroit Lions – Drew Stanton hurt his finger in Week 15 and word is that Hill is ready to come back from injury himself. Hill has proven to be a decent Fantasy quarterback only a few short weeks ago and faces an underwhelming Miami team this week.

Tim Tebow – Denver Broncos – Tebow has certainly earned another start. He proved that he can beat you with his arm and his feet. This week, he draws the Texans, the Fantasy friendly Texans! It is a yummy matchup for anyone including Tebow!

Others to Monitor: Matt Flynn – Green Bay Packers

RBs

Derrick Ward – Houston Texans – Arian Foster left Sunday’s game and the extent of or exactly what the injury is remains a mystery. On a Texans team that utilizes their running back so much and with the woeful Denver Broncos on the schedule, Ward is worth serious consideration. Sports Betting at Sportsbook.com

Donald Brown – Indianapolis Colts – Brown broke loose last week and did what no other Colts RB has been unable to do – shred an opposing defense. Brown rumbled for 129 yards and a touchdown and this week gets to face one of the worst run defences in the league. Pick him up but beware – he could be a one week wonder.

Rashard Jennings – Jacksonville Jaguars – Jennings has been terrific the last three weeks in relief of Maurice Jones-Drew. He has been gaining serious yards and has scored the occasional touchdown as well. MJD looks banged up and Jennings could benefit.

WRs

Andre Caldwell – Cincinnati Bengals – Terrell Owens is gone for the season and Caldwell is the one that will benefit the most. He was targeted six times and caught four of them for 89 yards. He is the #2 WR on a throwing team and will likely be used a lot to see what he’s made of before next season.

James Jones – Green Bay Packers – Jones looked like the prime target for Matt Flynn in Week 15, catching five balls for 95 yards. He has shown flashes all season long but has not strung together a few impressive games in a row. The end of the season could be Jones-time!

Anthony Armstrong – Washington Redskins – Armstrong has caught at least four passes in each of his last three games and appears to be in good favour with Rex Grossman. Santana Moss is slowly sliding into the background allowing others to emerge and Armstrong is one who will oblige.

Others to Monitor – Mike Sims-Walker – Jacksonville Jaguars, David Nelson – Buffalo Bills

TEs

Randy McMichael – San Diego Chargers – Antonio Gates could be gone for the regular season, leaving McMichael to fill in against the injury ravaged Bengals and the brutal Broncos. McMichael has shown that he is a capable backup, catching five balls for 55 yards in Week 15.

Jimmy Graham – New Orleans Saints – Graham is special and Drew Brees is totally aware of his talents. Against Baltimore, Graham caught five passes for 29 yards and two touchdowns. Graham is a future Stud and could produce for you right now!

Defense

Tampa Bay Buccaneers – The Bucs are still alive and despite losing a couple of key defenders, has been playing well. They play a Seattle team this week that has been brutal on the road and terrible offensively the last month or so. Tampa could put up a ton of points this week!
