Super Bowl week has been extended by one day with the postponement of the Philadelphia/Minnesota game. Some sleepers and some unheralded Fantasy players really showed up this week, at the expense of the Usual Fantasy Studs! If you started Josh Freeman or Kellen Winslow this week, Congratulations!

If you started Chris Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald, I am truly sorry!

Enjoy the final edition of the 2010 Studs and Duds list. Please leave a comment and tell me what you think – if not, I will see you next year!

Studs of the Week:

Josh Freeman – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Insane game for the future of the NFL! Freeman threw 26 times, completing 21 for 237 yards and five touchdowns. He was dialled in on Sunday and certainly worth Stud of the Week honours.

Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers – Welcome back Mr. Rodgers – it doesn’t look like you missed a beat! On Sunday, against a very tough Giants defense, Rodgers passed for 404 yards and four touchdowns. It looks like the Packers will indeed make the playoffs thanks to this Stud of the Week.

Other Studs:

QBs

Carson Palmer – Cincinnati Bengals – Where the hell was this performance this season? Against the best defense in the NFL, Palmer threw for 269 yards ZERO interceptions and four touchdowns, without Ochocinco or Terrell Owens.

Matt Cassel – Kansas City Chiefs – Cassel has gone from early season Dud to late season Stud! On Sunday, he passed for 314 yards and threw three touchdowns in an improbable AFC West clinching victory!

Ben Roethlisberger – Pittsburgh Steelers – Ben did it all on Thursday night! He passed for 320 yards and a touchdown against a decent Carolina pass defense and he added a score on the ground. He got his nose broken again but still remains a Stud!

Tim Tebow – Denver Broncos – I know he played the woeful Houston Texans but 308 yards passing and a touchdown along with 27 yards and a touchdown rushing is worth at least a little Stud consideration!

RBs

LaGarrette Blount – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Blount ran for 164 yards on just 18 carries on Sunday. Any time you go over 150 yards; you are a Stud in my books!

Matt Forte – Chicago Bears – Forte looked like the player of a few years ago. Not only did he gain 113 yards and a touchdown on the ground, but he also caught four passes for 56 yards in a huge win over the Jets.

Jamaal Charles – Kansas City Chiefs – Charles only got 13 rushing attempts and gained 77 yards. Where he did do his damage was in the passing game where he hauled in four passes for 42 yards and two touchdowns – Stud!

WRs

Jerome Simpson – Cincinnati Bengals – WHO? Simpson took advantage of Ocho and Owens sitting with various Boo-Boos! All he did in relief is catch six passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns in a most impressive win over the Chargers.

Dwayne Bowe – Kansas City Chiefs – I sat Bowe because of his underwhelming performances the last two weeks – serves me right! Bowe returned to Stud form with a six catch 153 yard, one touchdown performance on Sunday!

Greg Jennings – Green Bay Packers – How does it feel to have Mr. Rodgers back Greg? Jennings lit up the Giants to the tune of seven catches and 142 yards on Sunday and looked like he could do whatever he wanted.

Kellen Winslow – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Winslow was a beast in Week 16. He caught seven balls for 98 yards and two touchdowns. He is finally showing some Stud form – too bad it is Week 16!

Honourable Mention: Miles Austin – Dallas Cowboys, Brandon Marshall – Miami Dolphins, Michael Crabtree – San Francisco 49ers, Ron Gronkowski – New England Patriots,

Duds of the Week:

Peyton Hillis – Cleveland Browns – Ugh! Hillis really wore down toward the end of the season and in Fantasy Super Bowl week, all he could muster is 40 combined yards on 13 touches! The numbers don`t lie – Hillis has to be a Dud of the Week!

Anquan Boldin – Baltimore Ravens – Hey Anquan – remember when you fancied yourself as one of the best? Those days are gone and for the second week in a row, you are Dud of the Week!

Other Duds:

QBs

Joe Flacco – Baltimore Ravens – Many of you started Flacco in your Championship week but he disappointed BIG TIME! He passed for only 102 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Those are Derek Anderson type numbers!

Ryan Fitzpatrick – Buffalo Bills – Fitzpatrick is another player that has cooled significantly as the weather has. On Sunday, Fitzpatrick threw for a respectable 251 yards, but he didn`t throw one touchdown and was responsible for three interceptions!

Rex Grossman – Washington Redskins – Grossman put up 300+ yards and four touchdowns last week and this week got the honour of playing the brutal Jacksonville defense. He was a sneaky play that yielded only 182 yards passing, one touchdown and one interception – Dud!

RBs

LaDainian Tomlinson – NY Jets – LT is stuck in the mud! Although he finally broke his scoring drought his 28 yards rushing certainly make him worthy of the Dud list! He is losing touches to Shonne Greene who looks like the better back for the Jets.

Chris Johnson – Tennessee Titans – Expectations were high for Johnson this week but he was only able to generate 58 yards on the ground. So much for 2500 yards this season! There were just too many Dud performances!

Rashard Jennings – Jacksonville Jaguars – Jennings was the sexy waiver wire add after it was revealed that Maurice Jones-Drew would not play this week. He had 32 yards on 15 rushes this week and delivered a Dud for those that thought they had struck Gold!

Lions RBs – 18 carries for 46 yards combined – Duds!

Giants RBs – Ditto for New York. They combined for 20 carries for 78 yards in a game that the Giants had to win. Jacobs and Bradshaw looked brutal on Sunday and were easy Dud inclusions.

WRs

Larry Fitzgerald – Arizona Cardinals – Fitz was a Top 10 Wide Receiver play but it took until late in the 4th quarter for him to get his first catch! When all was done, Larry had just one catch for 26 yards! Brutal!

Reggie Wayne – Indianapolis Colts – Wayne has been invisible the last few weeks and those depending on him are probably not in the Super Bowl! On Sunday, Wayne had just three catches for 40 yards.

Mike Williams – Seattle Seahawks – Two catches for 15 yards – It wasn’t his fault but there is no doubting that his numbers were Dudworthy.

Vincent Jackson – San Diego Chargers – After three touchdowns last week, expectations were sky high this week. Four catches for 54 yards left us wanting more.
