Below is a breakdown of all such performances in Dave B’s Week 13 Studs and Duds.

Studs of the Week:

Cam Newton – Carolina Panthers – Not too many quarterbacks run the ball, throw the ball and even catch the ball in one game but this weeks’ Stud of the week did just that! Cam Newton passed for 204 yards and a touchdown while adding 53 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Oh ya – Newton caught 1 pass for 27 yards as well – just 5 yards behind Steve Smith on the day. Unbelievable!

Shonn Greene – NY Jets – Insane day for Greene. How many of you benched him this week expecting his typical 75 yards and no scores? I did! My punishment – 88 yards rushing and three touchdowns along with 26 yards receiving.

Other Studs:

QBs

Drew Brees – New Orleans Saints – Brees was magical as per usual on Sunday night – totally dominated in Stud fashion. 342 yards and three touchdowns has Drew Brees firmly on the Stud list once again.

Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers – Rodgers was amazing as usual on Sunday. He threw for 369 yards and four touchdowns with 1 interception. Rodgers also led his team in rushing – only 32 but he was still tops on his team. Aaron is a complete and utterly amazing Stud.

Eli Manning – NY Giants – Manning played well but was unable to match the brilliance of his counterpart. 347 yards and 3 touchdowns makes the Stud list any week and this week is no different.

Honourable Mention: Matt Stafford, Christian Ponder

RBs

Ray Rice – Baltimore Ravens – Nice game Ray! 204 yards and a touchdown on the ground should have you as a Stud of the Week but there was absolutely no room. You are still deserving of some props and Stud honours!

Marshawn Lynch – Seattle Seahawks – Lynch was an absolute beast on Thursday night dominating the Eagles on National TV. Lynch had 22 carries for 148 yards and two touchdowns to become a Stud for the third week in a row.

Chris Johnson – Tennessee Titans – What? 2 weeks in a row? Johnson only took two thirds of the season to get going but he has been superb lately and is a Week 13 Stud. 153 yards and two touchdowns is tremendous – well done Chris!

Honourable Mention: Reggie Bush, Willis McGahee, Arian Foster

WRs

Percy Harvin – Minnesota Vikings – What a game for Harvin on Sunday! He caught 8 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns while adding 5 rushes for 19 yards. Harvin is the only real weapon on the Vikings but has proven Studworthy when needed the most.

Pierre Garcon – Indianapolis Colts – What a game for Garcon who seems to be money when the Colts switch quarterbacks – remember when Curtis Painter took over at QB for Indianapolis. On Sunday, in Dan Orlovsky’s first start, Garcon hauled in 9 passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns. [ad-8469823]

Denaryius Thomas – Denver Broncos – Thomas was sensational on Sunday as Tim Tebow`s main man. Thomas caught 4 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns in the latest incredible comeback by the Denver Broncos.

Honourable Mention: Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski, Victor Cruz, Hakeem Nicks

Duds of the Week:

LeGarrette Blount – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Blount was facing a terrible Carolina run defense on Sunday – a Top 10 RB option. He managed 19 yards rushing on 11 carries on the way to being named Dud of the Week.

Joe Flacco – Baltimore Ravens – C’mon Joe – you gotta be kidding me! 158 yards passing and ZERO touchdowns is a seriously dudly effort – enough to share the Dud of the Week honours with Mr. Blount.

Other Duds:

QBs

Andy Dalton – Cincinnati Bengals – Dalton has us expecting decent numbers and when he doesn`t deliver he looks like a Dud. Against Pittsburgh in a very important game, Dalton went 11 of 24 for just 135 yards and a touchdown. It may seem unfair but Dalton was a Dud on Sunday.

Ben Roethlisberger – Pittsburgh Steelers – This may be a bit unfair too but in a juicy matchup and in a game that Pittsburgh scored 35 points, 176 yards passing and two touchdowns is a Dud performance.

Matt Ryan – Atlanta Falcons – Ryan delivered a Dud in a game that the Falcons absolutely should have won. The fact that he was out-duelled by TJ Yates is reason enough to call Matt a Dud, but his 45% completion rate, one touchdown and two interceptions are another.

RBs

Michael Bush – Oakland Raiders – Wow! This was unexpected. One of the hottest RBs in the NFL delivered a complete Dud on Sunday. He ran for 18 yards and had just 27 yards receiving. You were dangerously close to Dud of the Week Mr. Bush but someone was actually worse than you!

Michael Turner – Atlanta Falcons – Turner was a total Dud on Sunday and appears to be slowing down as the season wears on. Turner rushed for only 44 yards on 14 carries in a very important game in Houston.

Steven Jackson – St. Louis Rams – I will give you a mulligan Steven but I still have to call you a Dud after a 10 rush 19 yard performance against the stout 49ers run D.

DeMarco Murray – Dallas Cowboys – Wow! What a letdown! 12 carries for 38 yards has DeMarco on the Dud list for the first time this season. I hope we don`t see him here again.

WRs

DeSean Jackson – Philadelphia Eagles – poor attitude, poor decisions and poor play has Jackson on the Dud list this week. Against Seattle, Jackson reeled in 4 catches for only 34 yards – ugly game indeed!

Steve Smith – Carolina Panthers – 2 catches for 32 yards in a game that his teams scored 38 points is definitely a Dud performance!

Anquan Boldin – Baltimore Ravens – I know it’s not your fault but 2 catches for 32 yards against the Browns is pitiful!

If I want to win fantasy football you said I need to live, eat, & breath fantasy football! Don’t you think I already know who did well & who didn’t last week? What is this column even about, its Wednesday & you are reporting on news that’s happened on Sunday/Monday!

Aaron, With all due respect.

We are a sports handicapping website. NOT a fantasy football website.

Dave writes FF stuff for us because our readers like this stuff.

Take it for what it is.

The article was PUBLISHED on Tuesday. THE DAY after the Monday night football game.

Makes sense doesn’t it?
