With Indianapolis, New Orleans, Pittsburgh and Houston on byes this week, the offensive firepower in the NFL was slightly watered down. Others had to step up to occupy the Studs list and thankfully they did. Unfortunately, there was a share of Duds this week as well.

I hope that you see some of yours on the Studs list this week and here’s hoping that nobody from your Fantasy squad was a Dud!

Studs of the Week:

Matthew Stafford – Detroit Lions – Stafford lit up the Carolina Panthers this week – nice to see him back to Stud status! Stafford completed 28 of 36 passes for 335 yards and five touchdowns. We’ll excuse the two interceptions for this Week 11 Stud of the Week.

Kevin Smith – Detroit Lions – Where did this come from? Smith had three total touchdowns on Sunday – 2 rushing and 1 receiving. Dude had 201 combined yards on the day and is unquestionable worthy of Stud of the Week honours.

Other Studs:

QBs

Tony Romo – Dallas Cowboys – Romo has been on fire as of late and on Sunday continued his Studly ways. Romo passed for 292 yards and three touchdowns on Sunday in a win over the Washington Redskins.

Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers – It wasn’t his best effort but Rodgers did barely enough on Sunday to remain on the Stud list. He went 23 of 34 for 299 yards and another 3 touchdowns – ho hum!

RBs

Ray Rice – Baltimore Ravens – It’s simple for the Ravens – get the Rice and good things happen. Rice ran for two touchdowns on Sunday and 104 yards while adding 5 catches for 43 yards. Rice is a Stud every two weeks it seems – next week he just may be a Dud!

Chris Ogbonnaya – Cleveland Browns – In a week in which running backs were held largely in check, Ogbonnaya gets a Stud nod with his 21 rushes, 115 yards and a touchdown. He also added two receptions for 19 yards. He’s barely a Stud but is one nonetheless!

Honourable Mention: LeGarrette Blount, Michael Turner

WRs

Torrey Smith – Baltimore Ravens – Smith returned to the lineup Sunday and was HUGE. He caught 6 balls for 165 yards and a touchdown in a truly Stud performance. [ad-8469823]

Jordy Nelson – Green Bay Packers – Nelson continued his sizzling stretch with six more grabs for 123 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday. Nelson is becoming money in the bank for his owners!

Nate Washington – Tennessee Titans – Washington did most of when the game appeared out of hand but there is no denying that 9 catches for 115 yards and 2 scores in Studly indeed!

Vincent Jackson – San Diego Chargers – Jackson was a monster in Week 11 – watch him crash and burn in Week 12! VJax went off for 7 catches for 165 yards and a touchdown on Sunday and is a worthy member of this week’s Stud list.

Honourable Mention: Jerome Simpson, Kellen Winslow Jr., Jabar Gaffney, Michael Crabtree, Roddy White

Duds of the Week:

Brandon Marshall – Miami Dolphins – One of the more reliable receivers over the past month was due for a Dud and on Sunday he delivered. Marshall had one catch for 5 yards on the way to becoming a Dud of the Week.

Chris Johnson – Tennessee Titans – Thanks for coming out Chris! He managed just 13 yards on 12 carries against Atlanta while adding a whole 15 yards more through the air. Johnson, you are not only Dud of the Week, you have become early candidate for Dud of the Year!

Other Duds:

QBs

Ryan Fitzpatrick – Buffalo Bills – Fitz hasn’t been great but in a week where some were forced to start him, Ryan was a complete and utter Dud. Against a poor Miami defense, Fitzpatrick threw for 209 yards, ZERO touchdowns and two interceptions.

Carson Palmer – Oakland Raiders – After a breakout week, a lot was expected of Palmer this week. He had 164 yards passing, ZERO touchdowns and 1 interception in a Dud performance.

Sam Bradford – St. Louis Rams – I had hopes for this guy and some started him because of the bye weeks and QB injuries. How did he reward you? 181 yards passing, 1 touchdown and 1 interception at home versus a pretty bad Seahawks defense – DUD!

Dishonourable Mention: Eli Manning

RBs

Willis McGahee – Denver Broncos – McGahee started on Thursday night to the relief of his owners but ended up with zero Fantasy points. He had 12 carries for 18 yards and a fumble – nearly Dud of the Week territory.

Fred Jackson – Buffalo Bills – It isn’t necessarily his fault but Jackson’s numbers have been on a steady decline. On Sunday, against a vulnerable Miami defense, Jackson had just 17 yards rushing on seven attempts. He did have 50 yards receiving but it wasn’t enough to keep Jackson out of the Dud column!

Steven Jackson – St. Louis Rams – Ugh! Jackson had only 42 yards on 15 carries on Sunday after looking like he’d turned the corner on his season. It is not all his fault but there is still no denying that Jackson was a complete Dud!

Dishonourable Mention: Ryan Matthews, Beanie Wells, Brandon Jacobs

WRs

Stevie Johnson – Buffalo Bills – Johnson was injured coming into the game and he played like it! He had 2 catches for 16 yards on Sunday – Brutal!

Denarius Moore – Oakland Raiders – How many of you started Moore after his huge Week 10? I’m sorry! He managed just one catch for 14 yards on Sunday and went from a Stud to a Dud!

Jermichael Finley – Green Bay Packers – 1 catch for 30 yards and an injury makes Finley a Dud this week!
