NFL Week 14 Betting Review

A thrilling Week 14 in the BetUS Sportsbook brought the upcoming postseason picture into clearer focus for NFL sports betting buffs everywhere.

Though there are still a few pretenders lingering in both conferences, the cream has largely risen to the top at this point but at this late point in the regular season NFL sports betting enthusiasts should have a firm idea of which teams are for real.

Here is a look back at all of the Week 14 action in the NFL as well as a glimpse ahead into the upcoming week’s football matchups.

Chargers 34 Raiders 7

The Bolts beat the pants off the Raiders but are still three games behind Denver for the division title with just three games remaining. The Raiders’ season has long been oever but the Chargers will try to keep their life-support-like playoff hopes alive in Kansas City on Sunday.

Vikings 20 Lions 16

Minnesota is in the driver’s seat in the NFC North but has a tough road date at Arizona looming. The Lions are well on their way to 0-16.

Bears 23 Jaguars 10

The Bears have a shot to win the NFC North, but I say they’re mediocre at best either way. Could Jacksonville be ready to part ways with head coach Jack del Rio?

Texans 24 Packers 21

I’m very impressed with Houston late-season charge which has renewed my confidence in head coach Gary Kubiak. The Packers have faded badly tat the worst time of the season and are likely kicking themselves in the rear end for parting ways with Brett Favre at least one season too soon.

Titans 28 Browns 9

The Titans are still my pick to reach the AFC title game and did nothing in this matchup to make me think otherwise. The Browns need to part ways with head coach Romeo Crennel and GM Phil Savage immediately.

Colts 35 Bengals 3

Ho-hum, what a cakewalk for the Colts who are heating up better than Vinny ‘The Microwave’ Johnson right now. Maybe it’s me, but I’m thinking the Colts look like they may have a playoff win or two in them.

Saints 29 Falcons 25Both teams have potent offense but defenses that look like Swiss Cheese most of the time. Still, you’ve gotta’ love the ‘new-look’ Falcons and the high-scoring Saints – until they play a team that actually plays defense that is.

Eagles 20 Giants 14

The idiotic New York media mayhave cost the Giants this win with their overkill of the Plaxico Burress situation. Still, I like the G-Men in a big way and think this loss may actually light a fire under them. Philadelphia has a gimme’ waiting in Week 15 in the form of the lowly Cleveland Browns.

Dolphins 16 Bills 3

The Dolphins are arguably the league’s biggest surprise, along with Atlanta and look like they’re going to make the playoffs if they keep up their steady, if not spectacular play. The Bills have faded badly after an encouraging 5-1 start that took place so long ago it seemed like it happened last season.

49ers 24 Jets 14

I thought the Jets were playing over their respective heads and they have shown on more than one occasion this season that they are mediocre at best even with Brett Favre on the roster.

Broncos 24 Chiefs 17

The Broncos are in the driver’s seat in the AFC West and should reach the playoffs despite their glaring lack of defense and a consistent rushing attack. Head coach Herman Edwards may be out the door following the regular season finale in Kansas City.

Patriots 24 Seahawks 21

The Patriots are also looking like a mediocre bunch again and had to struggle to beat the rejuvenated 49ers in this matchup. The Pats have a toughie looming with a home date against high-scoring Arizona this Sunday.

Cardinals 34 Rams 10

Speaking of Arizona, they had no trouble beating the atrocious Rams and made my preseason prediction of them reaching the postseason this year come true. All I can say is kudos , Kurt Warner.

Steelers 20 Cowboys 13

I called this game perfectly as the Steelers narrowly beat the Boys to improve their postseason plans. Pittsburgh looks like it could be in the AFC title game. Dallas on the other hand, clearly needs to learn how to win games late.

Ravens 24 Redskins 10

Thos defensive-minded Ravens put the Redskins in check in a big way and will look to do the same to Pittsburgh on Saturday.
