Denver, Tennessee, Kansas City, Arizona, San Diego and Seattle are all on byes this week. It is time to dig deep and go to that bench in order to get a Week 6 Fantasy win. Who can you depend on and who may step up in place of some of your resting Studs?

Dave B`s Week 6 Start and Sit is here to help you make those all-important roster decisions. Enjoy and I hope it helps this week!

Carolina at Atlanta 1:00 PM

This could be a serious NFC South shootout. Cam Newton and Steve Smith have become every weeks start but particularly this week against Atlanta’s weak defense. DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart are only flex options until further notice. Both tight ends for the Panthers could be used too – Greg Olsen and Jeremy Shockey are decent. For Atlanta, Matt Ryan is OK, not great but start Michael Turner and Roddy White for sure. Tony Gonzalez is a good start as well. You will have to check the practice report to see about Julio Jones – he may miss this week with injury.

Indianapolis at Cincinnati 1:00 PM

Cincinnati’s defense has been good this season so temper expectations on all Colts. Pierre Garcon has been superb in the last two weeks and needs to be in lineups along with Reggie Wayne. Everyone else on the Colts is a risk indeed. For Cincinnati, Cedric Benson, AJ Green and Jermaine Gresham are fine starts.

San Francisco at Detroit 1:00 PM

The 49ers have been playing very well this season but there still aren’t a ton of options for Fantasy. Alex Smith is a desperation/bye week start and Vernon Davis appears dependable again. Frank Gore is absolutely automatic. For the Lions, Matt Stafford, Jahvid Best and Calvin Johnson are good to go with Brandon Pettigrew a good tight end start.

St. Louis at Green Bay 1:00 PM

It is going to be a long day for the Rams – I am benching all of them! For the Packers, start everyone! That means Aaron Rodgers, Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, Jemichael Finley and even James Jones as a flex. I am not sold on the Packers running game but I am starting their defense.

Buffalo at NY Giants 1:00 PM

Shootout time! Ryan Fitzpatrick is a decent start this week along with Steve Johnson, David Nelson and of course Fred Jackson. Do you need a sleeper – look no further than Naaman Roosevelt. Eli Manning has been chucking it up the last few weeks and warrants a start. Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz should also be productive. Something tells me that Ahmad Bradshaw has a huge game this week as well – start!

Jacksonville at Pittsburgh 1:00 PM

Maurice Jones-Drew is the only somewhat dependable Jag this week but Mike Thomas is an OK bye-week fill in – that`s it for Jacksonville. For Pittsburgh, I like Ben Roethlisberger and Mike Wallace for sure this week. The second receiver role is undefined with Hines Ward and Antonio brown cancelling each other out – both are a risk. The running game is a mystery this week as well – I am not sure what to suggest! [ad-8469823]

Philadelphia at Washington 1:00 PM

Mike Vick has to be in your lineup along with DeSean Jackson and LeSean McCoy. Jeremy Maclin is a good flex as well. For Washington, I would roll the dice with Ryan Torain this week and perhaps Fred Davis. Rex Grossman remains a desperation play while Santana Moss and Jabar Gaffney are decent flex options.

Cleveland at Oakland 4:05 PM

Cleveland is not going to score a ton of points. Peyton Hillis is OK, Ben Watson is a decent tight end option and Mohamed Massaquoi and Greg Little are nothing more than OK flex options. For Oakland, Darren McFadden is the only Raider that I fully trust. Darrius Heyward-Bey is the best receiving option this week but he, like the other Raider pass catchers is too inconsistent for me.

Houston at Baltimore 4:05 PM

Start Matt Schaub, Arian Foster and Kevin Walter this week – I can`t recommend anyone else. Jacoby Jones could be decent but I said the same last week and he was brutal! For Baltimore, I like Joe Flacco this week and love Ray Rice as per usual. Anquan Boldin will be fine this week and Ed Dickson should get his share of yards as well. Start the Ravens defense as always.

Dallas at New England 4:15 PM

This should be fun! Start Tony Romo in a shootout along with Miles Austin who should return from injury, Dez Bryant and Jason Witten without hesitation! I am still not buying the running game in Dallas. For the Pats, Tom Brady, We Welker, and the tight ends are automatic. I also like Deion Branch this week as well and I am taking a chance on BenJarvus Green-Ellis although Stevan Ridley will likely be the star (Damn Bellickek!)

New Orleans at Tampa Bay 4:15 PM

Drew Brees and Jimmy Graham are obvious! I like Darren Sproles this week especially in PPR leagues as well. If I had to rank the unpredictable receivers, it would go Colston, Moore, Meachem and then Henderson. All are a total gamble unfortunately! I am not loving anyone on the Bucs but in a pinch I might start Josh Freeman and perhaps Kellen Winslow. Mike Williams has gone from a legitimate start to a flex only option.

Minnesota at Chicago 8:20 PM

Adrian Peterson is the only option in Minnesota – period! For Chicago, Jay Cutler looks like an OK fill-in this week. Matt Forte is the only sensible realistic option however! Roy Williams, Devin Hester, Johnny Knox and Dane Sanzenbacher are very risky options.

Miami at NY Jets 8:30 PM

Ugh! The Dolphins! Daniel Thomas (if he plays) is the only trustworthy Fin although Brandon Marshall may be an OK flex only option. For the Jets, I don`t mind Mark Sanchez this week but I think Shonn Greene is finally a good RB2. Santonio Holmes and Plaxico Burress are also good starts this week.

Byes: Denver, Tennessee, Kansas City, Arizona, San Diego, Seattle

i have two starting disputes this week.

RB: Starting Jahvid Best and Peyton Hillis. Darren Sproles is on the bench. I’m aware that Sproles has been doing well. Best is going against a tough running defense. Hillis is performing OK. Should I replace one of them with him?

WR: Starting Hakeem Nick, Jordy Nelson (majorly underperforming last two weeks), and Brandon Marshall. Bench options: Santana Moss and David Nelson. D. Nelson still hasn’t really proven himself to put up that many points, Marshall has been hurting with Miami’s weak offense, and Moss isn’t in a much better offense. Stick with lineup or replace?

thanks

I have 1 TE slot and one WR/RB/TE flex slot to fill out of three great players… Which two out of Jimmy Graham, Aaron Hernandez, and Micheal Turner?

Xcooper02,

I think that you have it right – all of your RBs are withing 7 or 8 spots in my rankings. You are a lucky man. Sproles is valuable for sure but will onlu give you a leg up in PPR leagues. In a PPR league, I may have him ever-so-slightly ahead of Peyton Hillis. Stick with your gut – I think you have it right.

As for the WRs I think you have that right as well. Marshall has threatened to get in a fight in this game and the Bills haven’t been winging it around as much in the last couple of weeks.

Long story short – I think you are on the right path!

Good Luck,

Dave B

svt 412,

Sit Hernandez – he is banged up and the other two are poised for huge weeks!

Big Daddy,

Branch and Boldin are neck and neck in my rankings with Wayne down a bit on the list. I may lean toward Branch in this game – the Ravens are going to destroy Jacksonville and Ray Rice will be the cernerpiece of that offense. Dallas/New England will be a shootout – Branch should figure into that.
