Week 2 of the Fantasy season is almost here – time to scour your lineups, player’s matchups and decide who on your squad will help you to victory this week.

Take a look at Dave B’s Fantasy Matchups – Start and Sit Week 2 for lineup advice and Good Luck in Week 2.

Oakland at Buffalo 1:00 PM

Oakland played well in their opener but there is no doubt that only one Raider should be used for Fantasy – Darren McFadden who should be over 100 yards and a score. For Buffalo, Ryan Fitzpatrick can be used in a pinch along with Steve Johnson and Fred Jackson as a flex only. Fitz is good for a couple of TDs with Johnson catching one of them.

Kansas City at Detroit 1:00 PM

KC was horrible last week – I don’t know if we can trust any Chief. You will have to start Jamaal Charles but it is a nervous start. For Detroit, Matt Stafford is a fine play this week along with Calvin Johnson, who is a top 3 receiver this week.  Brandon Pettigrew is a play and even Jahvid Best is fine. Nate Burleson could be used as a flex here too.

Baltimore at Tennessee 1:00 PM

Joe Flacco is just an OK play here – Ray Rice is going to dominate so obviously start Rice. Anquan Boldin and Lee Evans are only average plays because of Rice’s potential numbers. As always, start Baltimore’s defense as well. Tennessee will have a rough outing but you can’t bench Chris Johnson (despite a brutal Week 1). Kenny Britt is the only other Titan that I would consider – Nate Washington is only OK in deep leagues as a flex.

Cleveland at Indianapolis 1:00 PM

Cleveland may actually have some success in this game but the only real Fantasy option is Peyton Hillis. Ben Watson is just an OK TE option this week. It is hard to trust any Colt right now but Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark are as steady as they come – start them of course.

Tampa Bay at Minnesota 1:00 PM

I expect a bounce back game from Tampa Bay this weekend. You could use Josh Freeman, Kellen Winslow and Mike Williams without hesitation but I would be a little scared about LeGarrette Blount. For Minnesota, I am staying away from everyone but Adrian Peterson in this game.

Chicago at New Orleans 1:00 PM

Roy Williams is potentially out of the lineup Sunday leaving the door open for sleeper Johnny Knox. Jay Cutler is a fine option this week and Matt Forte is an obvious play as well. Temper your expectations for the Bears D this week. For New Orleans, Drew Brees is an obvious play but the receivers are a bit of a mystery. Expect solid numbers from Devery Henderson and Robert Meachem – just don’t know which breaks out. Darren Sproles could score again and Mark Ingram could get his first touchdown as well.

Jacksonville at NY Jets 1:00 PM

Sit all of your Jaguars! The Jets defense is just too nasty. For New York, Shonn  Green has to be better this week and earns a reluctant start. Santonio Holmes is also a good play here.

Seattle at Pittsburgh 1:00 PM

It is going to be a tough day for the Seahawks – I wouldn’t touch any of them. On the other hand, I would not hesitate to use any Steeler –they are going to come out flying. Ben Roethlisberger, Rashard Mendenhall, Mike Wallace and Heath Miller all start. Hines Ward becomes a decent flex. [ad-8469823]

Arizona at Washington 1:00 PM

I actually like Kevin Kolb in this game along with Larry Fitzgerald of course. Beanie Wells had a good Week 1 and has earned another Fantasy start in my eyes. For Washington, Rex Grossman, Tim Hightower, Fred Davis and Santana Moss are all strong starts this week against an Arizona defense that was torched by Carolina last week.

Green Bay at Carolina 1:00 PM

Aaron Rodgers, Greg Jennings and Jermichael Finley are automatic. Jordy Nelson is a decent play here as well along with the new lead back of the Pack, James Starks. The defense is a good play here too. For Carolina – who know? Many will start Cam Newton but I would hold off at least another week. Steve Smith is the only sure-fire Fantasy start. Greg Olsen is a nice option too. Green Bay’s run defense is strong and should limit Williams and Stewart.

Dallas at San Francisco 4:05 PM

Tony Romo is going to take the Cowboys on his back and will have himself a game on Sunday – Start with confidence. Dez Bryant, Miles Austin and Jason Witten are also strong starts here. Felix Jones wasn’t great in Week 1 and is just an OK start this week. Dallas has a soft defense – Frank Gore and Braylon Edwards should have good games along with Vernon Davis. I’m still not sold on Alex Smith.

Cincinnati at Denver 4:15 PM

Cedric Benson and maybe Jermaine Gresham for Cincinnati – that’s it! For Denver, I expect a bounce back from Kyle Orton – start him and Brandon Lloyd.

Houston at Miami 4:15 PM

We are still not sure about Arian Foster which sucks – Ben Tate would be a good start in his absence. Matt Schaub is a decent start, Andre Johnson is unbenchable and Owen Daniels should be good as well. Jacoby Jones is an OK sleeper here as well. Chad Henne and Brandon Marshall looked good in Week 1 and warrant a start this week too. Reggie Bush is a decent flex in PPR leagues.

San Diego at New England 4:15 PM

Shootout time – Rivers, Tolbert, Vincent Jackson, Antonio Gates and even Malcolm Floyd are all great starts this week. For New England, Brady, Branch, Gronkowski, Hernandez and Wes Welker are all solid. Benjarvus Green-Ellis is just an OK play this week.

Philadelphia at Atlanta 8:20 PM

Obviously start Mike Vick, along with DeSean Jackson and LeSean McCoy. Jeremy Maclin is all right as a flex this week. Atlanta is a terrific home team – Matt Ryan, Michael Turner, Roddy White, Julio Jones and even Tony Gonzalez are fine plays this week.

St. Louis at NY Giants 8:30 PM

Both of these teams are banged up. I would hesitate to start any of the Rams – seriously! No Steven Jackson, no Danny Amendola means I have no idea what to expect. For the G-Men, Hakeem Nick is in danger of missing this week. If he plays start him. If not, Mario Manningham becomes very intriguing. Ahmad Bradshaw will be fine, Brandon Jacobs is an OK flex and Eli Manning will be solid but unspectacular.

Lineup Help!!

QB: Schaub
RB: Chris Johnson
RB: LeSean McCoy
Flex: Bradshaw
WR: Greg Jennings
WR: Reggie Wayne
TE: Owen Daniels
D: Texan
K: Josh Brown

Bench Players Worth Mentioning:
Steve Johnson (Buf)
Josh Freeman
James Starks
Steve Smtih (Car)

Thinking smith might be a flop against GB. Should I play around with my flex (possibly starks?) and take out bradshaw? I keep going back and forth on all of these guys.

Hey Joey,

Thanks for the question! Tough choice for sure! Ben has by far the juicier matchup but I can’t help but think that it will be the Rashard Mendenhall show against Seattle. Matt Ryan has the vaunted Eagles D.

In this case, I would use Big Ben – he has something to prove and I think that the Steelers will keep the foot on the pedal until this game is WAY out of reach. Phili’s defense scares the heck out of me!

Mastercdk,

I think that you are on the right path for this week even though Steve Smith and Steve Johnson certainly are tempting over Reggie Wayne.

Carolina plays a Packers team that gave up 422 yards passing last week and Buffalo plays an Oakland team that allowed Kyle Orton 304 yards.

Starks is intriguing but in Week 2, I would lean toward more seasoned guys.

Line-up heeeellllppp!?

QB: Freeman
RB: Charles
RB: Best
WR:Nicks
WR:Fitzgerald
WR:Manningham
TE: Clark
K:Henery
D: Raiders

Bench:
Kolb
Starks
BJGE
J.Knox
G.Little
J.Gresham

I guess I leave as is (looks like Nicks will play), with the exception of changing out the DEF for a wire team…Saints, Giants DEF are intriguing…but lots available.

Also, going forward, should I try and trade for more depth at WR?

Boo-Arnz,

I think that you have the right lineup plugged in. Keep a serious eye on the Nicks situation. The game being Monday night, it is a bit scary.

The replacement I would use is Johnny Knox believe it or not. Roy Williams is already hurt and frankly not good. Knox is a sexy sleeper this week.

Don’t worry about your D – the others you are looking to pick up aren’t a whole lot better.
