NBA | Mar 16, 2011
Orlando Magic vs. Milwaukee Bucks
Play: 1 Unit Milwaukee Bucks +6-110

While on paper this looks like an absolute mis-match of EPIC proportions. When I look a little closer I think the final score might surprise you in this one. Did you know the Home team is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings between these two? Orlando will be playing its 3rd game in 4 nights, (Can you say “Tired Legs”?) Milwaukee is coming off 2 brutal losses in the last 7 days. But they’re fresher, and especially after that Boston game have a bounce back in them tonight at home. They have a ton to play for still as they are just 2 ½ games behind Indiana for the final playoff spot in the East. The teams have split two meetings this season, with each winning on its own court. Trends I like for this one include, Magic are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as a favorite, and are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Bucks are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a SU loss of more than 10 points, are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record, and are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.

Richmond vs. Vanderbilt
Play: 1 Unit Vanderbilt -1½-110

Free Play from Doc’s Sports. #724 Take Vanderbilt over Richmond (Thursday 4:10 pm TBS) The Spiders are under seeded in the 2011 NCAA Tournament but I do not think they are at the same level as the top teams in the Atlantic-10, Temple and Xavier, on a consistent basis. Vanderbilt is a team that I really like and feel they have an edge inside against Richmond. Both teams have outstanding guards with Kevin Anderson and John Jenkins leading their respective teams, but the Commodores have played a much more difficult schedule than the Spiders and they are better prepared for the NCAA Tournament. Richmond did not put up much of a fight in the NCAA Tournament against St. Mary’s in 2010 losing by nine points and I just do not believe that they are as strong as the 2010 team. Vanderbilt has a bad taste in their month after losing to Florida in the semi-finals of the SEC Tournament. The Commodores have not won a tournament games since 2007 and this is the year that they breakthrough. Vanderbilt is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games against Atlantic-10 teams. Do not miss Doc’s Sports March Madness selections. Doc is expecting a monster tournament run and now is the time to jump on board with the veteran handicapper of 39 years. NBA Betting
