Last week seven teams getting points covered the spread by winning their game straight-up.

Things evened out with seven road teams and seven home teams winning SU and ATS. For the fourth week in a row the total bet once again favored the ‘over’  as nine games scored more points than the total line and five scored less.

Sunday, Oct. 17

1:00 P.M. Seattle at Chicago (-7)
Over/Under: 40

The Seahawks are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games against the NFC. The Bears are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall. The total has gone ‘over’ in the last four games between these two teams. The Pick: Chicago -7 and OVER

Miami at Green Bay OFF
Over/Under: OFF

There currently is no line on this game due to the uncertainty surrounding the availability of Packers’  QB Aaron Rodgers. Green Bay is 6-2 ATS in its last eight games following a SU loss, while the Dolphins are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games. The Pick: Miami and UNDER

Kansas City at Houston (-5)
Over/Under: 45

The Chiefs are 5-1 ATS in their last six games as an underdog. The total has stayed ‘under’ in five of their last seven games as an underdog. The Texans are 1-3-2 ATS in their last six games as a home favorite. The Pick: Kansas City +5 and UNDER

Cleveland at Pittsburgh (-14.5)
Over/Under: 37.5

It looks like the Browns will go with rookie QB Colt McCoy as their starter, while the Steelers get Ben Roethlisberger back as theirs. Head-to-head, Cleveland is 4-1 ATS in the last five games and the total has gone ‘over’ in six of the last eight. The Pick: Cleveland +14.5 and OVER

New Orleans (-5) at Tampa Bay
Over/Under: 44.5

The Saints are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games following a SU loss. The Buccaneers are 5-17 ATS in their last 22 games played on grass. Head-to-head, New Orleans has won six out of the last eight games ATS and the total has stayed ‘under’  in 11 of the last 16 games. The Pick: New Orleans -5 and UNDER

Detroit at N.Y. Giants (-10.5)
Over/Under: 44.5

The Lions are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against the NFC. The Giants are 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games overall. Head-to-head, the road team is 5-0 ATS in the last five games and the underdog is 4-1 ATS in the last five games. The Pick: Detroit +10.5 and OVER

Atlanta at Philadelphia (-3)
Over/Under: 41.5

The Falcons are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games. The Eagles are 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall. Head-to-head, the favorite is 6-2 ATS in the last eight games and the total has stayed ‘under’ in six of the last seven games. The Pick: Philadelphia -3 and UNDER NFL Betting

San Diego (8.5) at St. Louis

The Raiders are 5-16 ATS in their last 21 games following an ATS win. The 49ers are 7-1-3 in their last 11 games following an ATS  loss. The total has gone ‘over’  in four of Oakland’s last five games and in three of San Francisco’s last five games. The Pick: San Francisco -6.5 and OVER

N.Y. Jets (-3.5) at Denver
Over/Under: 40

The Jets are 7-1 ATS in their last eight road games and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games against the AFC. The Broncos are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games as an underdog. The total has stayed ‘under’ in five of the last seven games between these two teams. The Pick: New York -3.5 and UNDER

Dallas at Minnesota (-1.5)

Over/Under: 43.5

The Cowboys are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. The Vikings are 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight games as a home favorite. Head-to-head, the favorite is 8-0 ATS in the last eight games and the home team is 5-1 ATS in the last six. The Pick: Minnesota -1.5 and UNDER
