NFL Football Futures Betting - Analyzing NFC East Win Totals
BetUS Sportsbook has not only posted all of its NFL betting odds to win the Super Bowl, but also on regular season win totals for each team. We're going to take a look at some of the teams in each division and analyze their chances of surpassing the regular season over/under that has been listed at BetUS. Today we look at the NFC East
BetUS NFL Futures Betting Odds
DALLAS COWBOYS
Over 10.5 wins -155
Under 10.5 wins +115
My prediction
for the Cowboys was an 11-5 sports betting
season. So obviously it wouldn't be a
rousing recommendation for an "over" here. I don't necessarily
see the value in it at the price of -155.
I don’t want to argue that this team
is not solid; that is not the case. While
the Cowboys could indeed go to the Super
Bowl, however, they could experience some
problems with their offense, especially
if a real good complement to Terrell Owens
at the wideout position doesn't emerge.
Remember, Terry Glenn has gotten older
and is coming off an injury. If I had to
put a play of this nature on one team in
the division, it would not be the Cowboys.
I'd have no play or a small play on the "under."
NEW YORK GIANTS
Under 9 wins -140
Over 9 wins - Even
There is a tendency, I guess, to look
upon the Giants' run to the Super Bowl
last season as a bit of a fluke.

I would suggest
that might be true of a team, IF that team
hadn't won all of its playoff games on
the road, completing a run of ten consecutive
road wins, and IF they hadn't beaten another
team that had won 18 straight games in
the biggest contest of all.

But hey, maybe
I'm partial here - after all, I did pick
the Giants to win the Super Bowl straight-up.
Their people are, for the most part, back.
Eli Manning has to buoyed with more confidence
after taking his team on the big ride.
There is a running game, and a pass rush,
even if Michael Strahan is not part of
it. I understand that repeating is going
to be a major chore, but I think there
is every reason to believe they are going
to take some of the momentum into this
season. For you to win this bet with an "under," this
team would have to finish with an 8-8 record.
That would constitute extremely wishful thinking.
I would make a strong recommendation on the "over" here
- even money at BetUS.
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
Over 8.5 wins -180
Under 8.5 wins +135
The Eagles
added a couple of defenders who can help
them, including Pro Bowl cornerback Asante
Samuel, but the pass rush, once a strength,
really needs to improve. There's a chance
of that, but the bad news here is that
there is still very little support for
Donovan McNabb in this offense outside
of Bryan Westbrook. No one is afraid of
this team's receivers. And I don't know
that I'm too crazy about McNabb anymore.
Fix those awful kick coverage units too!
I wouldn't disqualify the Eagles as a contender
for the wild card, but I wouldn't bank
on it. I would take a value play on the "under" at
+135 in the BetUS NFL Futures betting odds.
WASHINGTON REDSKINS
Over 7.5 wins -135
Under 7.5 wins -105
The Redskins
have made changes at the top, losing both
coordinators and head coach Joe Gibbs.
In comes Jim Zorn, who has never been a
head coach before, and the West Coast offense.
I have never been a big fan of Jason Campbell,
and here he has to adapt to his third different
offensive system as a pro. If he does, there
is the potential of a nice upside, and I
made a forecast of an 8-8 season, but that
is not enough to make a wager at -135 in
the BetUS odds. Nor would I be that crazy
about the "under" here either.
Why would I still be laying a price on a
playoff team from last year regressing by
two games? There are too many variables to
go down that road.
