NFL Football Betting Futures Wagering - Cowboys Ready!
My father
has been a lifelong Dallas Cowboys’ fan.
Even when he lived in Fairfax, VA, serving
as a soldier at Ft. Belvoir, just a hop,
skip and a jump from RFK Stadium, he was
a Cowboys’ fan. He lives and breaths
with the Dallas Cowboys.
But he’s
got a problem now. Although it isn’t
monetarily when it comes to the Boys, like
it definitely is for us BetUS online sportsbook
NFL betting fans, his problem with America’s
Team is the same problem that we need to
assess as BetUS football betting fans.

The problem
is with Tony Romo. “He
needs to forget about women,” my
father says. “Forget about them altogether.
Just start sleeping around like Joe Namath.”
By no means
is my father being sexist. What he means
is that Romo has this thing about him
where, whether it’s Jessica
or not, women become the focus of his life.
There is no reason, for instance, why Tony
had to take a trip with Jessica down to
Mexico a week before the biggest game of
his life. I don’t get it. Dallas
Cowboy fans didn’t get it and online
sports betting enthusiasts shouldn’t
stand for it.

It’s not just Jessica. The guy’s
been linked to every single country singing
hot woman out there who isn’t already
married. It gets to the point where Romo
has to decide if he is Brett Favre or just
another NFL star out there trying to get
laid because he’s the starting QB for
America’s Team.
Hey, Tony, I know you might not care all
that much if you guys win, but guess what?
Us online sportsbook betting faithful sure
give a damn!
Of course,
that’s not the only issue
with the Dallas Cowboys. Before I break it
down as to they this team will probably fall
off from their terrific season of a year
ago, let’s take a look at the BetUS
futurebook betting odds on the Cowboys to
win the Super Bowl.
Right now the online wagering odds on the
Dallas Cowboys to win the Super Bowl are
9 to 1.
To me these online odds are absolutely terrible.
I do not believe that any team is worth online
betting odds less then 20 to 1 to win the
Super Bowl. Not right now when so many things
can happen.
But I’m
really disgusted at the online betting
odds of 9 to 1 on the Dallas Cowboys.
Besides having
Tony Romo pretending to be Texas Don Juan
out there, the best player on the Cowboys’ team, wide receiver
Terrell Owens, is a year older. Adam “PacMan” Jones,
who the Dallas Cowboys feel will shore up
their secondary, hasn’t played football
for over a year and might not get the go
ahead from Commissioner Roger Goodell to
play at all in the 2008 – 2009 season.
Roy Williams,
their tough strong safety, can’t play coverage defenses. The Boys
also signed old man Zach Thomas from the
Miami Dolphins to shore-up their run defense,
but the problem with Zach is that he’s
coming off an injury and hasn’t been
in the league since the Tennessee Titans
were the Houston Oilers (that might be hyperbole
- - but it makes the point!).
The moves that
Jerry Jones made in the off-season just
haven’t impressed me. I’m
also not as ga-ga over their draft as some
other NFL online betting writers. For one,
taking Felix Jones in the first round just
wasn’t a good move. There were cornerbacks
available and that’s where the Boys
need to strengthen their defense. Jones is
a very fast, athletic, but very light running
back. His speed will be neutralized in the
NFL and there is no way he gets those truck
like holes to run through that he got when
playing for Arkansas.
The schedule
isn’t light either. Besides
strapping it on against their NFC East rivals
twice this season, the Cowboys have to play
the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers,
Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Seattle Seahawks and
Pittsburgh Steelers
The answer to the question then, are the
Cowboys ready to break through and win a
Super Bowl, is no. That makes the Cowboys
one of the biggest underlays on the BetUS
futurebook wagers page.
9 to 1 on
this team to win the Super Bowl? You’ve
got to be kidding me, right?
