To Win Big East Conference
Cincinnati +800
(10-3 SU, 4-3 (C), 8-3-1 ATS, 5-6 O/U)
The Cincinnati Bearcats have a muddied situation on their hands at quarterback and will likely take a small step backwards in 2008 as the team has a bunch of holes to fill on both sides of the ball.
Connecticut +1000
(9-4 SU, 5-2 (C), 7-4 ATS, 4-7 O/U)
The Huskies are for real now and should be even better in 2008 with the team not making many changes and gaining more experience from last season’s spectacular season. If UConn can succeed on offense, they could surprise even more than they did last season.
Louisville +1400
(6-6 SU, 3-4 (C), 4-7 ATS, 6-5 O/U)
The Cardinals lost quarterback Brian Brohm and are coming off a mediocre 6-6 season under head coach Steve Kragthorpe and will be hard-pressed to earn a Bowl game berth if they don’t improve dramatically on defense.
Pittsburgh +500
(5-7 SU, 3-4 (C), 6-4 ATS, 3-7 O/U)
Even with the nation’s fifth-best defense last season, the Panthers failed to reach .500 and lost defensive coordinator Paul Rhoads who bolted for more bucks in the same position at Auburn. Pittsburgh will also need to settle on a starting quarterback at some point before the season begins.
Rutgers +350
(8-5 SU, 3-4 (C), 6-6 ATS, 6-5 O/U)
Eight starters return on defense for head coach Greg Schiano, including talented safety Courtney Greene.

The loss of starting running back Ray Rice and three starters on the offensive line will hurt, but the Scarlet Knights won’t fall very far in 2008 – if at all.
South Florida +200
(9-4 SU, 4-3 (C), 7-5 ATS, 8-3 O/U)
The Bulls are improving on offense and have an excellent defense, led by premiere defensive end, George Selvie. The loss of both starting cornerbacks will hurt, but the Bulls have a blossoming quarterback in Matt Grothe.
Syracuse +5000
(2-10 SU, 1-6 (C), 3-8-1 ATS, 5-6 O/U)
How the mighty have fallen! Head coach Greg Robinson saw his team flounder all season, going just 2-10 overall and 1-6 in conference play. The bottom line for this team is that they have nowhere to go but up.
West Virginia +175
(11-2 SU, 5-2 (C), 7-6 ATS, 6-7 O/U)
The Mountaineers moved into the national title picture under former head coach Rich Rodriguez and will have to adjust to new head coach Bill Stewart while trying to maintain the eye-opening success they achieved under Rodriguez. This team still has talent, but expect a small drop-off because of the big coaching change.
