NCAA Basketball Free Picks - Villanova at Pittsburgh
BetUS: The
Villanova Wildcats, (13-5 SU, 5-10 ATS, 7-8
O/U) have been maddeningly inconsistent all
season and their last four games, illustrate
this point perfectly. After beating DePaul
76-69 and Syracuse 81-71 on Jan. 16 and 19,
the Wildcats dropped back-to-back contests
against Rutgers, (80-68) on Jan. 23 and Notre
Dame, (90-80) on Saturday.
Even worse – or better – considering
on where your allegiance lies, the Wildcats
are a pathetic 1-8 ATS in their last nine
games.
The 18th-ranked Pittsburgh Panthers, (16-4
SU, 10-5 ATS, 7-8 O/U) were also pounded
by Rutgers this past Saturday, losing to
the Scarlet Knights 77-64 while getting outscored
45-25 in the second half to end their 13-game
home winning streak.
The Panthers, who are 1-2 in their last
three games, have been led all season by
junior forward Sam Young, (18.3 ppg) while
Villanova has been led by sophomore guard
Scottie Reynolds, (17.2 ppg).
Pittsburgh has won five straight at home
against Villanova dating back to Feb. 12,
1997.
