Conference tourneys
are heating up with the mid-majors working
on determining who will represent them
in the NCAA Tournament. This is a great
time to cash in on the exciting action.

The season is winding down so make sure
you take advantage of the last few weeks
of betting opportunities. Remember, each
winning wager of $20.00 or more that
you make earns points towards the prize
in the weekly Beat the House promotion.
In the
Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference
on Friday, we’ll have a pair
of games to start the festivities in
Albany, NY. The last several years
the favorite has been a wise selection
at 9-4 against the spread. If the higher
seeds are favored, this could mean
Iona and Manhattan are the better choices.
The Missouri Valley has turned into
one the most attractive events the last
several seasons. Once the quarterfinals
are set for Friday, taking a look at
the favored teams can create positive
cash flow. The favorites are 24-15 ATS
and have stepped it up to 13-7 ATS, 65
percent the last five years.
At this juncture,
it pays to know the very next day in
the semi-finals; the favorites are
blown up with 3-12-1 ATS mark since the
turn of the century. Talk about reversals!
After a few days between games, the
Horizon League resumes action. Once the
four best clubs have made the semis,
look to play against the underdog, as
they are just 2-6 ATS.
The Colonial
Conference has enjoyed another fine season,
with Virginia Commonwealth the regular
season champ at 15-3 and George Mason
and UNC-Wilmington finishing tied for
second at 12-6. These teams, along with
Old Dominion would be presumed to be
among the two finalists in Richmond,
VA. Whoever makes the title game, the
underdog could
be unsavory selection, as they are only
1-4 ATS the last five tourneys.

The West
Coast Conference could borrow part
of the Kansas chant “Rock
Chalk Jayhawk”. The “chalk” has
been the best wager in the WCC tournament.
This league has been big on favorites
as these numbers show.
In Round One, we have favorites 7-0
ATS, Quarterfinals 7-2 ATS and the Semis
6-3 against the number. The weakest link
in the automatic qualifier title tilt
is the favored club at only 3-2 ATS.
It also pays to know which teams perform
best in these events, having a lengthy
history of performance. The aforementioned
Seahawks of UNC-Wilmington are 17-7 ATS
in this post-season action. Niagara from
the MAAC is 12-4 ATS and Creighton from
The Valley is 16-7 ATS. Illinois-Chicago
has been another stellar performer at
13-5 ATS and with little fanfare, Gonzaga
covers 66.7 percent of the time at 16-8
ATS.
Teams that could be poisonous to a wagering
account include New Orleans at 3-13 ATS
and Cleveland State, who has one cover
in last 11 tries. Out West, Pepperdine
is a mere 5-13 against the spread with
Louisiana Tech not far behind at 4-10.
One team that used to enjoy great success
is Charlotte, but since they drifted
away from old name of UNC-Charlotte,
the 49ers are 1-7 ATS.
For Totals,
there are certain teams are worth noting.
San Diego is hosting the WCC and is 7-2
Over. Good Under teams include VCU and
George Mason from the Colonial at 8-2
below the set total and the Big West
has UC-Irvine and UC-Santa Barbara at
9-3 Under. Eastern Kentucky from the
Ohio Valley has never played Over in
seven previous contests.

information to clean up in conference
tourney action.
