Bet on NCAAB - Georgia Tech (+ 2) vs. North Carolina State (- 2)
BetUS: Whenever
Georgia Tech gets points, I always take a close
look at the game. Georgia Tech is a fantastic
defensive team. They can keep games close
versus almost any other team in college
basketball. They lost by only 7 points
to Georgetown and 1 point to North Carolina.
The North Carolina State Wolfpack have
gone 0-3-1 against the spread in their
last four games. That’s not a good
sign for them.
Here are more trends:
The HOME team is 10 and 4 against the spread
in the last 14 meetings between these two
teams.
The Georgia Tech Yellowjackets are 2 and
7 against the spread in the last 9 meetings
between these two teams.
The Georgia Tech Yellowjackets are 1 and
6 against the spread in their last 7 games
versus the N.C State in North Carolina.
In this ACC
rivalry it appears that the home team always
has the edge. As much as I like Georgia
Tech’s defense, I really
can’t go against the above trends.
The against the spread line is right where
it should be, 2 points, and Georgia Tech
has a tendency to play with emotion versus
the North Carolina’s and Georgetown’s
but then to fall on their face versus a team
like Miami, Florida and Virginia Tech.
That means
that Georgia Tech isn’t
quite where they need to be in order to win
a game on the road against a pretty good
team from the ACC.
The N.C. State
Wolfpack aren’t exactly
putting the ACC on fire but the fact that
they are 12 and 5 straight-up and, before
their 31 point loss to North Carolina, were
ranked in the Top 25 tells me that they could
make short work of the Yellowjackets tonight.
Trends, straight-up
records, against the spread records - -
everything appears to be in N.C. State’s favor tonight. I’m
not going to argue against all of that.
