NBA Basketball Free Picks - Golden State Warriors at Houston Rockets
BetUS: The
Golden State Warriors, (27-18 SU, 20-25 ATS,
23-21-1 O/U) have won seven of their last 10
games and two straight coming into this matchup,
but that didn’t stop
GM Chris Mullin and head coach Don Nelson
from looking for ways to improve their roster.
Rumors today
have the Warriors signing former all-star
forward Chris Webber to a contract that
should help improve Golden State’s
notoriously thin front line.
The Houston
Rockets, (24-20 SU, 21-22-1 ATS, 18-25-1
O/U) haven’t added any
big name free agents, but they are playing
pretty good basketball at the moment, having
been bolstered by the return of swingman
Tracy McGrady.
Houston has won seven of its last 10 games
though they received a 97-89 loss to the
Utah Jazz in their last contest, Sunday night.
Houston may also be without starting center
Yao Ming whose upper respiratory infection
sidelined him against the Jazz.
The Rockets have been outscored by an average
of 12.2 points per game in dropping their
last four games against the Warriors, including
both games this season.
Warriors point guard Baron Davis has repeatedly
torched the Rockets, averaging 27.3 points,
8.3 assists and 2.5 steals during Golden
State's winning streak over Houston.
Here’s a look at tonight’s
key trends followed by my NBA Betting Free
Picks.
Key Warriors Trends
The Warriors are 13-3 ATS in their last
16 vs. NBA Southwest.
The Warriors are 6-2 ATS in their last eight
games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.
The Warriors are 2-5 ATS in their last seven
vs. Western Conference.
Key Rockets Trends
The Rockets are 6-1 ATS in their last seven
games following a S.U. loss.
The Rockets are 5-2 ATS in their last seven
games following a ATS loss.
The Rockets are 15-36-1 ATS in their last
52 home games vs. a team with a winning road
record.
Key Totals Trends
The Over is 5-1 in Warriors last six vs.
NBA Southwest.
The Over is 5-1 in Warriors last six after
scoring 100 points or more in their previous
game.
The Under is 5-1 in Rockets last six vs.
Western Conference.
The Under is 4-1 in Rockets last five home
games.
Key Head-to-Head Trends
The Over is 5-1 in the last six meetings.
The Warriors are 4-1 ATS in the last five
meetings in Houston.
The Road team is 7-2 ATS in the last nine
meetings.
Analysis: While
the Rockets are playing at home tonight,
I like the Warriors to use their all-out
offensive attack to pull away from the
often, offensively challenged Rockets.
Take the Warriors to cover the spread here,
though I think it’s quite possible
that they will win outright.
