The Spurs have committed only 12.3 turnovers
a game, which is the fifth least in the NBA.

There is some concern in the Wizards' camp
about the status of Caron Butler, who has
been dealing with a hip flexor. He came back
to action, then left the game on Tuesday.
That means Antawn Jamison (21.2 ppg, 10.5
rpg) might just have to shoulder some more
of the scoring load. He is not uncomfortable
doing that.
San Antonio has a pressing problem with
the absence of Tony Parker, out with a heel
injury. Parker scored 29 points the last
time these two teams met, when San Antonio
scored a 15-point win at home in November.
Recently-acquired Damon Stoudamire, the former
rookie of the year, has been called upon
to shoulder some responsibility early on
in his Spurs career. He scored 11 points
in his first start against Indiana last night,
a 116-89 Spurs win.
Oddly, Washington, which is 8-0 ATS laying
more than six points at the Verizon Center,
is just 3-6 against the number as a home
dog. But the veteran-laden Spurs have just
had an awful time in the second end of back-to-back
games, covering just one of nine in that
situation.
We aren't crazy about the way San Antonio
had been playing previous to that blowout
in Indianapolis, so we'll grab the points
with the Wiz, the 6.5-point underdog in the
BetUS NBA betting odds.
