BetUS NBA basketball betting odds: CHICAGO
-2, Total 194
In the HEAD-to-HEAD NBA betting trends:
* CHI has won eight of the last nine
meetings SU
* CHI has covered the last five meetings
* Four of the last five meetings have
gone OVER the total
* CHI has won six of the last seven
meetings SU as the home team
* CHI has covered eight of the last
ten meetings as the home team
* The last five meetings in Chicago
have gone OVER the total
* CHI has had the shooting edge in four
of the last five meetings
* CHI has had the rebounding edge in
eight of the last nine meetings
Chicago averages 96 points a game at
the United Center. That's 23rd in the
NBA in home scoring. The Bulls pull down
43.5 rebounds a game. Also:
* CHI has covered five of its last six
games
* CHI has lost five of its last seven
games SU
* CHI has played four of its last six
games OVER the total
* CHI has covered four of its last 15
home games
* CHI has played five of its last six
home games UNDER the total
Right now, Miami is last in the NBA
in scoring (93.1 ppg). And only two teams
have averaged less rebounds in road games
than the Heat's 38.3 per contest. Also:
* MIA is 5-18-1 ATS in its last 24 games
* MIA has lost its last eight games
SU
* MIA has lost 23 of its last 24 games
SU
* MIA is 1-5-1 ATS in its last seven
road games
* MIA has played four of its last six
road games OVER the total
We certainly concede that Shaun Marion
is a positive addition for the Heat,
if for no other reason than that he is
an able-bodied player who can rebound
the ball, while Shaquille O'Neal, who
was traded, likely was going to sit out
the rest of the season on the advice
of his personal physician if he was not
moved.
Miami has lost 23 of 24 and has covered
five of those games. And while we realize
that Chicago is just 5-10 ATS laying
points at home, there is simply no way
you can ignore their recent mastery over
this team. Chicago swept Miami in four
games in last year's playoffs, and won
a 126-96 laugher in Miami on January
16. In that game, Shaq was Miami's potent
weapon, with 24 points and 10 rebounds.
But even though Ben Wallace is out for
the Bulls, Miami's Mark Blount is not
likely to stir fear in anyone's hearts
from his center spot.
Ben Gordon and Luol Deng are also out
of action for Chicago, but the Bulls
have more depth to handle these absences
than the thinned-out Heat, who are also
missing Udonis Haslem, the guy who does
the dirty work under the boards.
Miami is still ill-equipped for the
revenge role. Even with a banged-up lineup,
we see value with the Bulls, the two-point
favorite in the BetUS NBA betting odds.
