NBA Basketball Betting Action - Boston Celtics at Detroit Pistons
After correctly
calling the Eastern Conference Finals
Game 5 sports betting matchup correctly
in the BetUS Locker Room on Wednesday,
I am back with another winning online
basketball wagering selection for my
beloved NBA bettors on tonight’s
crucial Game 6 basketball betting matchup.
While Detroit
Pistons, (69-29 SU, 55-42-1 ATS, 42-55-1
O/U) head coach Flip Saunders is already
looking ahead to a possible Game 7
matchup with the Boston Celtics, (77-24
SU, 59-40-2 ATS, 45-55-1 O/U) while
deflecting rumors about his possible
departure from Detroit should they manage
to lose this series, the Celtics say
they are concentrating on winning the
sports betting series - wherever they
play - Saunders’ troubles aside.

"I really believe if we get Game
6, that we're going to have a good opportunity
in Game 7," Saunders said Thursday.
"We don't want to go to a Game
7," Celtics head coach Doc Rivers
said. "We want to win this now if
we can. They're not going to let us win
it. We're going to have to come in and
take it.”
Celtics
all-star forward Paul Pierce added
that fatigue will not be – and
has not – been - a factor for the
veteran-laden Celtics throughout the
playoffs.
"The only thing on my mind is getting
a win, getting a step closer to being
in the NBA finals," said Pierce. "I
don't think fatigue is going to be a
factor for the rest of this series. The
guys physically for the most part are
feeling good, and it's all about mental
toughness right now."

Pistons enigmatic forward Rasheed Wallace,
is one technical foul away from being
suspended for a game after picking up
his sixth playoff technical in Game 5.
"Usually when he gets this close
in those types of situations, he knows
to try to tone it down a little," Saunders
said. "I'll talk to him."
The NBA fined Wallace $25,000 for his
unprintable monologue on the Game 5 officiating
job done by Mike Callahan and Kenny Mauer.
"The cats are flopping all over
the floor and they're calling that," Wallace
told reporters after Game 5. "That
ain't basketball out there. It's all
entertainment. You all should know that."
Instead
of focusing on tonight’s
Game 6 basketball betting matchup, Saunders
also had complaint’s about the
Game 5 officiating, particularly point
out a foul by Pierce on Detroit point
guard Chauncey Billups.
"I told the referee when I was
standing there, `We've got New England
Patriots that are here. (Teddy) Bruschi
had a tackle like that in the Super Bowl,"'
Saunders recalled. "So I don't think
that's allowed in basketball."
The Celtics
are just 2-8 against the spread in
their last eight playoff games while
the Pistons have gone 6-4 against the
spread over the same span, covering
each of the last two games in the process.
The Total Points Over/Under for the series
is a surprising 3-2 despite each team’s
stellar defenses.
Here
is a look at tonight’s key
trends followed by my NBA Betting Picks.
The Celtics are 6-1 ATS in their last
seven games as an underdog of 5.0-10.5.
The Celtics are 14-3 ATS in their last
17 when their opponent allows 100 points
or more in their previous game.
The Pistons are 6-0 ATS in their last
six games following a S.U. loss.
The Pistons are 5-1 ATS in their last
six when their opponent scores 100 points
or more in their previous game.
The Under is 4-0 in Celtics last four
road games vs. a team with a winning
home record.
The Under is 5-1 in Pistons last six
games as a favorite of 5.0-10.5.
The Celtics are 5-1 ATS in the last
six meetings in Detroit.
The Under is 5-1 in the last six meetings
in Detroit.
Analysis:
Knowing that the Celtics can finally
win a playoff game on the road – even
against the mighty Pistons – certainly
means a lot, which is why I’m going
with the Celtics to cover the spread
in this contest – and possibly
win outright.
A less
than 100 percent Richard Hamilton,
combined with Wallace’s emotional
outbursts – and Saunders’ lame-duck
coaching status, sound like a recipe
for trouble if you ask me.
Don’t
be surprised if the Celtics win outright,
but take them for the cover at the
very least.
