NBA Betting Lock Alert - Cleveland at Orlando
BetUS: The
Cleveland Cavaliers, (28-22 SU, 22-27 ATS,
24-24-1 O/U) may have made returned to small
pack, (and I do mean small) of elite teams
in the eastern conference, with their 16-6
straight up mark in their last 22 games, but
the Cavs have lost two of three and took an
unabashed beating in their last contest, getting
absolutely routed by the Denver Nuggets last
night 113-83 despite playing in the confines
of their home arena.
Things got so bad that LeBron James sat
out the entire fourth quarter after scoring
30 points through three periods but seeing
his team trailing the Nuggets by 26 points
entering the fourth quarter.
"We know we can play better," James
said. "It was one game. That's something
we can fix."
The Orlando Magic, (32-20 SU, 32-19-1 ATS,
26-24-2 O/U) also drooped their second game
in its last three outings, losing to the
Los Angeles Lakers 117-113 at home on Friday
despite scoring a whopping 44 points in the
first period on 75 percent shooting from
the field.
Magic sharpshooter Hedo Turkoglu is in the
midst of his finest season, averaging 19.4
points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists per
game. Turkoglu scored 16 against the Lakers
but have watched the production and contributions
of free agent small forward Rashard Lewis
decline sharply recently.
"I think he's always had great ability
- he's been one of the most versatile guys
in this league since he's come in," Magic
coach Stan Van Gundy said. "You would
always see flashes of great play, games where
he would put it all together. This is the
longest period of time that he's ever done
it."
The Cavaliers will likely be without starting
power forward Drew Gooden, reserve guard
Daniel Gibson and swingman Sasha Pavlovic.
Here is a look at some key trends followed
by my NBA Betting Picks.
The Cavaliers are 5-2 ATS in their last
seven Monday games.
The Cavaliers are 5-2 ATS in their last
seven road games.
The Magic are 4-0 ATS in their last four
games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.
The Magic are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven
games playing on two days rest.
The Over is 4-1 in Cavaliers last five vs.
NBA Southeast.
The Under is 4-0 in Magic last four vs.
a team with a winning S.U. record.
The Under is 4-1 in the last five meetings.
The Over is 9-3-1 in the last 13 meetings
in Orlando.
Analysis: This
pick is an absolute ‘lock’ NBA
Betting community as the Cavaliers will cover
this high spread with ease after getting
routed in their last game. If nothing else,
expect LeBron James to single-handedly help
the Cavaliers cover the spread while giving
them a fair chance at winning outright.
