NBA Betting - Mavs Could Improve Dismal ATS Numbers
The Dallas Mavericks, (35-17 SU, 21-28-3
ATS, 24-28 O/U), may be the owners of the
owners of the second-best record in the western
conference, but when it comes to covering
spreads in the BetUS.com Sportsbook, it is
crystal clear that the talented Mavs could
use a serious shot in the arm to boost their
dismal ATS statistics this season.
While the Mavericks, who have been featured
in the BetUS.com Locker Room on several occasions
this season, post reasonable NBA Odds on
most of their games, for a team that has
such a stellar straight up (SU) record, Dallas
is unusually poor when it comes to covering
against the spread, (ATS), ranking just 25th
in the league in ATS wins.
With a trade
for New Jersey Nets veteran NBA point guard
Jason Kidd, (11.3 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 10.4 apg),
pending, the Mavericks could boost their
pedestrian ATS numbers over the season’s
approximately 30 final games.
Should the
trade go through, (Nets forward Devean
George is reportedly blocking it) the BetUS.com
NBA betting community may want to look
at wagering on some of the Mavericks’ contests
down the stretch as the club will be looking
to win as many games as possible heading
into the post-season.
As an extra
for my beloved BetUS.com NBA bettors, the
New Jersey Nets, Kidd’s
current – and possibly former team,
have also posted absolutely atrocious ATS
statistics this season, going 20-32-1 ATS
and 23-28 in O/U wagers.
Should Kidd
depart the Meadowlands area, expect the
Nets’ ATS numbers to get
even worse down the stretch, offering NBA
bettors even more value because of the pending
trade.
