Picks – Kansas City Royals at Los
Angeles Angels
The Kansas City Royals, (9-6, 3-12 O/U),
have been one of the biggest surprises
in all of baseball this season, but have
had the Los Angeles Angels, (9-7, 9-5-2
O/U, ) right where they want them for
quite some time, winning six straight
games against the Angels including a
solid 3-2 win on Wednesday.
The Angels, who had their three-game
winning streak in the BetUS Sportsbook
snapped with the loss, will look to get
back to their winning ways by sending
starter Jon Garland, (1-2, 5.50 ERA),
to the mound and should have an excellent
chance as Garland has beaten the Royals
more than any other team in his career,
particularly at home, where he has gone
a spectacular 10-1 with a 2.50 ERA in
18 home games, including 16 starts.
"They've got a lot of young talent," Angels
hurler Jered Weaver said about the Royals. "They're
not the same team they have been in the
past."
The Royals will counter with veteran
Brett Tomko (1-1, 2.08) who makes his
third start of the season after facing
the Minnesota Twins in each of his first
two starts including Saturday's 2-0 loss
in which he gave up just two runs on
six hits in six innings.

Angels big-bopper Vladimir Guerrero,
injured his index finger on Wednesday,
but has struggled against Tomko mightily

Angels to win this contest behind a strong
performance from Garland. Take the Angels
to win though the improved Royals certainly
won’t make it easy.
