spanked the Texas Rangers, (7-14, 10-10-1
O/U) 10-2 in their series opener.
Guillen, who was an All-Star shortstop
last year, moved to first this season
after the Tigers acquired shortstop Edgar
Renteria.
"We think, at this particular time,
this gives us a better team," Leyland
said.
The Tigers have won two straight and
